Absolutely. He is a real star for Sri Lanka and he will captain Sri Lanka in the future most probably. He can play in the team either as a pure batsman or a pure bowler. He has skills like that. He is very wrisky in his some shots and he is very intelligent both in bowling and batting. Also has a very cool head. I think player like Maharoof is overshadowed by Mathews. Also I think that, Kapugedara will become Mathews deputy and Dinesh Chandimal will be the wicket keeper in future.

Srilanka is definitely one of the best Cricket teams in the world. Bowlers like Muthaiya Muralidharan, Chaminda Vas are known worldwide for their talent. Angelo Mathews is a great bowler they got now. His performance against India is really surprising. He will definitely play for a long time. Srilankan team has also got some extra ordinary players like - T Dilshan, K Sanghakara, M Jayvardhane, S Jaysurya, A Mendis. This team has some of the worlds best Cricket Talents. Now doubt in that. They also play with great sportsman spirit. It is second team I like the most after India.

i agree completely. it is always a delight to watch players like angelo matthews who are good in all three departments of the game. he is a mixture of talent, skill and hard work and there are not many players as effective as he is in the shorter forms of the game.

He has the good ability and temperament.and good bowling all rounder.I like his slow bouncer that he bowls in T20. I think he will be the future captain for sure.He has been the teams under19 captain. He was a major cause for India's world cup 2010 exit.played well that match.
