I think many people do mistakes while using these word "Then" and "Than", specially those whose mother tongue isn't English, and not speaking English very often.
Sometimes I also do mistake in those words, actually there's completely different meanings of those words, I don't need to mention the meanings here.
So myLotters have you caught people sometimes having mistakes with these words? Or do you make mistakes sometimes with these words?

No, I'm kind of a grammar nazzi. I don't like to correct people though. I know people hate to be corrected. But I often do see those kinds of mistakes especially in the comments sections of some funny sites or something. "This is better then peanut butter!" Lol I just laugh. In a light way though I don't laugh AT them. I know it's hard to figure out another language. I just laugh to myself sometimes when I imagine that it's some American kid making those grammatical or spelling mistakes. Something like this.. "He could of been a football player!". Lol I love that.

Ah yes definitely. I think it's because it's how they hear it and it's just how they interpret it. I can understand how someone could interpret "could have" for "could of" or "then" for "than" as kids, I hope they're not adults and I really hope someone out there corrects them though. Seems awfully embarrassing to be so wrong with your own native language. ^^

I don't often mistake the words just because I've done a lot of writing myself. I've taken a few writing classes in my time at college and I think that has assisted me greatly in not making mistakes like that. I do have to admit though that sometimes whenever I'm online typing and my brain and hands get moving too fast I'll do it as a typo. It's very rarely that it occurs for me though.

I have encountered a lot of people committing mistakes with regard to the proper usage of the words than and then. I cannot remember that I committed mistakes about these words. Anyway if you are using spell check tool, this mistake will be easily corrected.

I've been seeing grammar mistake here. I'm not an american. I don't speak nor write fluent english but the mistakes are too noticeable for me. I don't mind though. As long as i understand them it's alright. I also see others using 'should of' instead of 'should have'. Just to mention more.

Yeah, even myself got confused over these simple English words. And lots of other English words I used incorrectly such as this & these, is & are, in & on, etc. My grade school daughter sometimes corrected me if she happens to heard some of these mistakes.lol
