How do you get traffic to blogs?

I have several blogs, one in profile, good content, but few readers. How do people get traffic? I currently promote the blogs using articles posted on Article Crooner, to which I have a lifetime subscription (bought in long ago days when I had a job). I also do site submission to directory sites, but slowly.

Hi Philtrate, there are many ways to create traffic to your blog or site, I use one site where you need to surf the sites and get credits which you can use to attract the traffic to your site, so it is kind of give and take, you also get 30 cents for per 1000 pages visit, and it does not take much time and you can do the same at your leasure of time, so whenever you have time, just visit the site and earn credits and assing those credits to your blog or site. You can also target the specific geogriphical regions as well depending on your choice.
