keira knightley started out in bend it like beckham and i do not think anyone noticed her. pirates made her very popular and she has left the movie. is it because she has gained whatever she wanted from the movies? i certainly think she should have stayed with the pirates franchise. what do you think?

it's up to her.
bend it like beckam was actually quite successful, and she came out of it well thought of.
I remember how it was at the time, because I liked the film, and it was popular.
and aside from pirates, she's had some good films and some flops.
no one can force an actor to take a job they don't have to.
if she doesn't want to, that's fine

There have been so many rumours about this movie, that I had not heard this one. Is it a fact though, is Keira Knightley not going to be involved in the 4th movie? The thing is I read somewhere that the studios were recasting her and Orlando Bloom's role with younger actors, to keep the focus on Johnny Depp. Now until they start filming, and if they have a completed script nothing is certain. Also Keira Knightley has the right to refuse a role, unless contractually obligated and that is a totally different issue, whatever the reason, be it personal or professional, it is up to her. No one should be forced to do something they don't want to. It will be a pity though as she has this tomboy charm that makes it believable that she could be both at home in a the governors mansion all prim and proper and also be at home with a cutlass in one hand fighting in a pirate ship.
