I got this from the song Can't help falling in love with you by A*teens or UB40. The original artist is Elvis Presley.
If someone said, "Take My Hand" what do you think they meant?
Does it mean do you trust me? Will you marry me? Do you love me?
What does "Take My Hand" mean to you?
Whenever I hear these lyrics I'm reminded of dancing or when Aladdin asked Princess Jasmine if she trusted him and she said yes and took his hand and jumped.

Oh, I know you have more than that because when I asked you about it a while ago you said fantasies. ahaha. It's okay take your time. I won't get offended by what you tell me. As long as your nice and friendly you can do, I mean say whatever you want to me. ;)

I haven't really answered your post yet, so here goes...Take my hand...I guess it involves trust. Without trust, we can't go further beyond. Also, it depicts guidance. Meaning, taking someone's hand and following his lead...I can't think of anything else to describe it, so I guess that's it LOL
Wait, a minute...as long as I'm nice and friendly? But I'm VERY nice and VERY friendly ;)...As for doing you, I mean, saying whatever I want with you, let's give it a whirl....:)

I think when someone says 'take my hand', it means they are lending a helping hand. It doesn't mean marriage. I think when people wanna get married they will say 'will you marry me?' not 'take my hand'.

That's interesting how everyone has a very different interpretation on what "take my hand" means. I hope you lend a helping hand to your fellow man and woman. Before we can lend a helping hand it is important for us to first help ourselves. =)

The term "Take My Hand" has a different meaning depending on the source. Coming from a person I trust, I trust...If it is in a song, depends on the artist. I don't dance any more so that thought didn't cross my mind. I've been married for 36yrs, anniversary today (24 May).

I think it means "be with me", "trust me". A loving sentiment.
