How Often Do You Talk To God

i like to think as god like a shadow. he's not my shadow and i'm not limiting him to that, but he never leaves me. I talk to him in those moments i recall he is there, in the moments i wish i could feel his presence more, and in those moments when he gently tapps my shoulder and makes me realise he's there. Some people find this like big brother watching, i find it comforting.

Both responses I read are good. Can I assume that you have accepted Jesus as your Savior? I talk to God all day long. Sometimes it is focused on a certain topic, sometimes it is generic chat, sometimes it is worship. I love listening to worship music. I frequently thank Him for the life He has given me or something as simple as helping me find something simple, i.e. keys. I ask Him to bless journeys and keep us safe. Basically any event in life, health, etc.

i talk to Him as often as i can. by that i mean, i talk to him anytime i can, anywhere i can... i talk to Him all the time. when i'm on a ride going somewhere, when i'm alone, or even when i'm with people, when i feel sad, when i feel happy, when i'm confused and i don't know what to do, when i have questions, when i made a mistake, when something sudden comes up, when i receive a blessing, basically all the time. I can just feel His presence all the time that I feel He's always with me :) and He is the reason why I'm here.

I usually end up talking to God when I'm driving to and from work. I think work is the most stressful thing in my life right now so when I'm driving to work, I ask God to help me through it and help others through it as well so I'm not just praying for myself but for others too. On my way home I will either ask him if he can help me through the stress with dealing with it or whoever caused me the stress, help them find themselves. It sounds like you know how to talk to God already. Take care

Every time do I remember him..I give thanks and if have doubt i ask him usually before i sleep at night..and miraculously HE answered on what is happening on my daily life..

Sometimes people talk to god to express their joy and gratefulness to god. most of the times they talk to god in search of guidance and miracles in times of despair and difficulties. Being raise as a catholic, I talk to god whenever and wherever my mind thought of God. During happy days, when in need of spiritual guidance, when my friends or families are in trouble, or when seeing other people in miseries. I just do it when i feel like it.

i generally pray before i go to sleep at night and in the morning when i get up and sometimes through the day too!

Try talking to god telepathically and see what happens.

hio lillybelle I just talk to him like I would to you with respect and dignity and tell him my problems and ask his blessings.sometimes I talk to him like I used to talk to my grandpa whom I loved so much. I would ask his forgiveness for not trusting him and just tell him how I feel. I do not think there's any set number of times as this is a personal thing between you and your maker.Lilly however you do it God will not disapprove and that's all that counts.Just feel free to be yourself.

Most of the time, I keep on talking with Him. A lot of people keep on saying that Jesus is a friend we can talk to anytime. He will be so glad when we always talk with him. Some people just remember him whenever they have problems and once the problem i is solved, then they no longer call Him again. Although I am only a human and cannot fathom enough God's wisdom, I think that He always want us to be near with him. Just like how a mother wants her child to be with her always most of the times, so is God with us.If we will read the bible Jesus treats us as a friend. That is why, I always talk with with Him. I gave thanks to Him every morning and before I go to bed. I gave so much thanks with Him when I passed the GCAT exam on the university where I want to enrol. I tell Him all my problems and dreams in life. God is a good and great one.We are His children and He wants us not be shy on telling what we want to say to Him.

I talk to God all the time -like he was my best friend and i can tell him anything, at the same time I maintain respect for him because of who he is. When I walk the dogs I always take time to thank God for every little thing I can think of because our lives are shaped by our words and it's important not to be negative and complain all the time. However I also pour out my heart to God when things trouble me and I ask him to help me and help me see the positive in a situation. I pray when I'm driving to work too, and when I'm getting ready in the morning.

God is everywhere. in nature, in our neighbors, in our house. He is the air we breathe, the water we drink and the earth that shelter us.. considering all the circumstance, which i believe is true, we should talk to him, everywhere, anywhere and anytime.. i talk to HIM every time i wake up, every time i'm start working and after i finish such, no matter how it ended up. i talk to him to give thanks and to share my experiences. even when i am inside a car, a jeepney, a taxi, a tricycle, a talk to him. everytime i realize how good the day was. so every second and every minute of the day we should talk to God. :)

I often talk to Him in casual, conversational way like I would a friend or my parents. Sometimes, I forget to formally pray before meals or before I sleep at night, but I do talk to Him in my mind about even the most mundane things. Like, when I have a problem to tackle, I usually ask for His help. Or when I'm happy about something, I tell Him. When I'm alone, I speak aloud my thoughts to Him, but usually, when I'm with somebody or with a crowd, I speak to Him in my mind. You don't really have to couch your words such that it comes off as a good formal prayer. Talk to Him like you would a human friend. I don't even have to close my eyes when I do these mini-conversations with Him. Just think of the things You want to say to Him and He will hear you. Sometimes, I don't even think of the words. I just tell Him, "Lord, you know how I feel" - This I usually do in times of extreme loneliness or sorrow. I can't describe it to Him, but I trust Him that He knows how I feel. And, most of the time, the feeling gets better. Sometimes, also, I talk to Him through singing. I do this especially when I feel extremely happy.

Talking to God is so simple. God is like human though He is not! We can talk to Him like human. You can talk to Him while you are working, sitting, traveling or before you to go to bed and sleep. It does not need for you to open your mouth and talk to Him though we can do that when we are alone with Him... but we can also talk to Him through our minds and our hearts. God can see and read of what is in our minds and what is in our hearts because He is an all knowing God, all Omnipotent God and Omniscient God.

I pray to God all the time. The Bible says "Pray without ceasing". I thank him for things in my life, when I feel happy or discouraged. When I am starting something new. When I know someone is sick and needs God's presence. I pray for the animals that I see to close to the road. When I was working, I would pray all the way to work to get along with this one lady that I worked with, because her and I didn't agree on things. You can pray anytime, anywhere, in anyway. You just talk to him like an invisable friend that is there beside you sharing every minute of your day. You can talk out loud to him, you can talk to him silently in your mind. You can find a quiet place or a very loud place, the most important is that you do communicate with him telling him everything, he already knows but he wants to hear from you.

actually i don't talk to god at all.I think the real god lies inside us and it is our inner soul.so why did you need to talk to yourself.But for some people it is very relaxing to talk to god.So in your case if you get comfort by doing that there is no wrong in that.so good luck

I talk to him twice a day when I'm praying. I talk to him first thing in the morning and thank him for another day of life. I ask for miracles in my life. I ask him for good health, happiness and peace for all my friends and family. I talk and pray to him again before I go to sleep. In fact talking and praying to him has helped me in getting a better night sleep each and everynight.

As you I pray every meal that I eat, and I make one certain time to pray, event at the beginning it is difficult to me to discipline my self to talk to God every certain time, but I think that one important thing should do to maintain my relationship to God so I can here what He want me to do I my life. For me I take night before I sleep. Beside setting meal time and certain time, I think we can always talk to God like our friend while we doing something, I believe He always hear what our say and I believe He always listen event we don't clap our hand and close our eyes as long as our heart is pure in Him. and I believe to Jesus Christ as my God.

I am talking to God every night before I go to sleep, that is my way of praying by talking to Him. I talk how my day was and how things happened to me in that day. Also I would talk to him how hurt and disappointed I am on this day, so sometimes I also crying while talking to him. I feel that as if i am talking to a dear friend that I trusted most.

I don't talk to god, I don't go to mass, but I know that he is always here in my heart, my soul, and my mind. Giving me support in every problems that are coming to me. :)
