My cats sleep wherever they please. Its not like I can stop them. They stay off the table and counters pretty much (at least when I can see them). My little Freddie sleeps by my head every night. I don't mind. They are my children. Plus again, its not like I can make them do anything.

I had a cat which got lost some days ago and his name is Zeebaw, I named her, he was my best pet. I would not mind if he was sleeping on the couch, the bed, the kitchen table or even on my chair. I do not find it disgusting because my cat take a bath every week and he is so cute that you can barely wake him in his sleep.

I have no problem where the cats sleep. When I was growing up, we had their food on top of a mini-fridge. And they would get on the counter. It didn't bother us because we would clean any food prep areas so there was no risk of contamnation. But, I'm not worried about that.
In the place I live now, there is no real counter space to speak of to erm for them to lie on so they don't.

i don't have problem with that. my cat has many places in our house where he sleeps. one place is in a rug near our bathroom. he loves there because it is the coolest part of our house and it is very hot here nowadays because it's summer. next is under our wooden bench on the floor although he also sleeps in our living room's floor. third is on our cabinet that serves as the divider of our kitchen and living room. he loves lying and sleeping there cause it's beside a window so he sees many things from there.

Our cats are allowed pretty much anywhere except the counters and table, we let them sleep in our bed, they usually stay at the bottom on a their pillow. We see no problem letting them sleep in our bed, and cuddle with us. They sleep on the back of our recliners, they don't get on the couch so that isn't an issue.
