Is E-Gold a SCAM?

I found this website where you get points for advertising your referral link. With those points, at the end of the month you can exchange them for one of the four prizes they have each month. I think this system is very easy, but I don{t know if this is a scam or it really gives you your requested prize. Have anyone registered before in this site and have obtained what did requested?

I can't understand, which site you are talking about. As far as I know, e-gold is a payment processor like Paypal.
Of late, almost all users have stopped using e-gold for the reason that they were asking for more and more document proofs. E-gold have frozen many users' accounts (including mine). Many sites have also discontinued e-gold.
