I just watched a 15 part video featuring a debate between a very important issues - Christianity and Atheism.
The Christian Opponent showed scientific points that Atheism's belief is not supported with logical and scientific data. On the other hand, the Atheist counterpart, criticized some writings on the bible. He says, before the exploration of the heavens(outer space), we believed in the kingdom above us. But with the advent of science, human discovered that there is nothing above.

Do you know what I have discovered about atheists??? Even if they spend their whole life rejecting God, at the end of their time, they magically believe in him, and call out to him to save them. So I guess my question is if you are going to call on him in the end why not just beleive in him to start with. It makes more sense doesn't it??? After all HE DOES EXIST,and you exist because of HIM.

or some just end up being really crappy mood and never believe in him. until they will see hell for the first time and last time they will see the usual happy normal life and welcome the never ending torture. but who cares? i am lucky that i believe in him.

Of course I will choose Christianity. I will never participate in any community that does not believe in God. I consider all the religions and it will even help me to be closer to God. I also have an open minded thinking and I also consider my thoughts that when I like something and when I do not like something in a Religion then I do not follow.

I don't think anyone can comment upon anyone's beliefs but themselves. If people want to be a Christian, then that's up to them, and if not, nobody else should be able to judge them for it.
It's my opinion that we should look after ourselves, and let other people make their own decisions.

Hi Letran, =)
If they rate this negative it would be ok with. after all i just want opinions about this issue. I want to know if everyone, such as you, has an open mind regarding the topic. I would appreciate it more if they discuss rather than just rate it. I respect opinion more so if others do. I just want to hear the opinions coming from different sides. This is not also intended to offend others. Atheist should not be discriminated since nobody can claim perfection. May peace be with my felloe mylotters,.

I really see no point in why people are trying to prove others wrong..can't they just let each other be? People always find faults in other people and their beliefs.. Everyone has a right to trust in what they believe in... I have a friend who is an atheist and we get along just fine- we're quite close. No one really knows the whole truth about God unless they die..

Well I would be very cautious about drawing conclusions from just one debate. I havent taken the time to watch the entire debate but I was wondering if you can be a little more specific on the scientific data and logical arguements against atheism. You may want to watch other debates because very few people making a proper case for atheism to not appeal to literal interpertations of the bible. This is a classic straw man fallacy since most religious people dont even interpert the bible literally or even holistically.

The main pillar of the belief that there is GOD is faith. It was founded thousands of years ago and the only way we can finally end the issue is on the "END" itself. That is the time that all non believers will realize, that there is indeed, a GOD.
The Debater(Atheist) have not confronted the issues and challenges drawn by the 1st speaker. and even if he raised good points, we have to think it ourselves, are we gonna believe or not.

Thanks Danzy, I just became a William Lane Craig fan. Is he a descendant of Paul? He must be. He is a staunch defender of the Lord Jesus Christ.

hello Ate eileenleyva..
The first words he spoken showed signs of his intelligence. He really know how to establish his arguments and entrapped his opponent into it. Aside from knowing the comparison of he two beliefs, i learned some points on how to win debates. I like Dr. Craig's way of delivering speech...

Ok I am going to try to address several posts in one post...
Just because someone does not believe in a god(s) does not mean that they are a criminal. With that said, are there atheist criminals? Yes, but are there Christian criminals too? Yes again. It has nothing to do with what one believes, it has to do with the individual.
To the people saying that atheists are going to hell, first is there not something in the bible that says that YOU christians are not supposed to take judgement of others?
As for the subject of being an Atheist/Agnostic, I think the reason religious people find them to be scary is because they just do not understand how someone could not think that there is a god(s). Of course, the same thing applies to those who do not believe, they do not understand how someone could believe that there is a god(s) that controls everything. I would also like to mention that I personally do not understand why Christians are constantly talking about how hate filled atheists are. The majority of atheists are actually very nice to be around and do not call out people for not thinking the way they think. Granted, there are some that are constantly bashing, but if you think about it, so do the christians. However, I am quite sure that they would not like me to judge their entire belief system by the actions of a few. It would not be fair to them, so why is it fair to atheists?

It has also got my attention. When i watch the 15 part video on youtube, the Christian opponent suddenly raise arguments regarding crimes which in my mind is unfair. It sounded to me as if the Christian debater mis-stereotyped the Atheists. To find explanations about this, belief in GOD means being righteous and most people would define Atheism as disbelief in God which eventually perceived to be a freedom to commit sins( Please post below for reaction or additional or critical points) since their is no God as they believed. I would like to emphasize it in here to avoid discrimination please be objective and avoid emotional remarks.

Religion is created i guess to give hope and direction when facing the unknown and uncertaintly. Out of fear of the unknown religion is created . I live in a coutry where many religion are practised.Since it is a so called democratic country, as usually majority will rule, so islam is office religion , but under the constitution other race have to right to live and practise their religion and belief within the local laws.Christian vs Atheism is a wide divide..One side believe in the divine god while the other is non god. One side believe there is ALmight god that rules the heaven and earth , one day will end up in heaven or in hell , while the other - end up into nothingness. The world today has proven whether religious and non religiouis play no role in world peace. The world is still crappy with or without religion.Samples are everywhere with war, crime, bribery, corruption, heinous act of butchery and such.

I am a Christian and I believe in the existence of a Supreme being. My whole life is dedicated in worshipping and praising my God. My faith tells me to believe. I believe that after all of these, there is an everlasting life. If there will be none, what have I got to loose? For the aetheist, if there is indeed one, he had already lost everything and there will never be a second chance for him. :-))
