does anyone here love taking profile pictures of themselves? you know, those pictures where you pose or make faces, either just for the sheer fun of it and seeing how you look or for the purposes of regularly changing your profile pictures/avatars on social media sites or other websites?
in the philippines, we used to call those kinds of profiles pictures 'for friendster purposes" and i guess now for "facebook." sometimes though taking pictures of yourself can be mistaken as vanity.
do you take pictures of yourself (own camera or using your phone) often?

I like to pose for pictures My husband thinks it is funny that I like to take pictures of myself. I am not fond of photography. I don't know how to take good pictures. My husband is fond of photography and takes a lot of good pictures. He usually takes pictures of nature, odd scenes, etc. He thinks it is funny that I like to pose for pictures.

i really find it amusing and funny at times when i see those profile pictures where the shot is taken from above and the person sticks out her tongue and all! you know, those shots that are meant to be posted in the social media sites. really amusing haha.

Absolutely, I really like to take pictures of myself. To take photos of yourself and use as your profile picture is something very interesting.
What do you say?
I have tried some and most pictures are from straight-on and at eye level..
What I really like is that taking pictures of yourself is far less stressful than modeling for someone else. If you take 100 bad photos, you can just delete them off your digital camera..

I am so not into that thing but I would also like to try if I only have a good camera. Maybe a DSLR and for sure I would be so proud of the photos that I have taken. I would certainly agree with you that there are lots of people here in our country would just simply fix their selves just for taking up some photos for their profile picture in so many social networking websites.

I don't like to pose for photos. I like more to take photos of other people and of my girlfriend. So I have picture of myself only in few cases when I'm almost obliged to stand for it. About my profile picture I usually keep the same for months.

I really don't like to take pictures at all, imagine taking pictures of myself. Of course that, sometimes, I like to do that, but is pretty rare situation. I just don't like when some persons put a million of photos of themselves on facebook or others social medias.

No.. I do not like taking photos of myself. I know I'm bad at taking my own photos so I let somebody else do the honors for me. I'm very good behind the camera and very good at photography, but somehow when I get in front of the lens, I go very bad at it. So I let my photos be taken in a flow and later see which can be used as DP.

When I am in mood to take pictures of myself, sometimes I don't want to take a photo of myself and sometimes, I really like it just depend on my mood. I usually upload my photos in facebook. I take my own pictures by using my phone or sometimes I used camera.I just used camera when there are some special occasion to attend.

I agree. Filipinos just love taking pictures of themselves. ;-) I used to be one of the many when i just got my new camera and cam phone. But lately, i don't do it anymore and my profile photos are not changed regularly.

I'm not really fond of taking pictures of me alone. I love taking pictures but usually with someone and in a group. I love capturing special moments with friends and family. I'm also more fond of taking pictures of a beautiful place or an event.
Aside from that I love to take stolen shot of friends when they are not ready to pose.

yeah,i like take pictures of myself often.especially when i went to a place and meet with the old friends.i will take many pictures with them.and all of us will smile sweetly even if we didn't dressed nicely.

I take pictures of myself. But there is no way I will post it on any social networking sites! I see my friends do this and I see it very lame. I feel disgusted by their acts! :) But hey! we're on a democratic country. So they can do whatever they want for as long as it is not prohibited. :)

I like to do it when someone has not taken my photos as I wish it to be taken so I take my camera and go in front of the mirror to then take myself in photos, this is for the purposes which I like to display on my wall in my room, in my laptops, in frames and also in facebook sometimes.

I don't like the way I look, so I don't usually like having photos taken at all. But if I am wearing make up and dressed nicely, then I don't mind so much and I use those photos for profile pictures and so on. I much prefer taking photos of my kids and pets!

Everyone loves taking picture of themselves. Especially when they are in some memorable events or in famous places which they can share and show to their friends. Since social networking sites became famous and most of the new born gadgets has camera like cellular phones. People catch the interest of taking pictures to themselves or with their friends, anywhere or anytime they wanted to.

I do like to take pictures of myself and keep them for myself only not for friendster or facebook purposes or showing publicly. Sometimes I do it when i'm trying some new haircuts, clothes, handbags, make up, produtcs etc so that I can see and compare my new looks whether it suit me or not. I love to see the before and after looks and experiment with it.Plus, you can edit and play around with your pictures freely.Its alright for those who loves to share their pictures with others but just keep in mind please safe some for your own privacy huh??:)
