How to append data into an MS Access database?

Hi Mylotters,
I have an Access database, storing all the inventory of the IT equipment. As and when we buy new equipments we add the details into the Excel file. Now I want to add these data into the already created Access database. I type out all the fields in the table as the first column of the excel file, I take care there is no typo error, but when I try to append it gives me an error stating the file does not exist, which doesnt give me much information also as to what to do next.
Do you know how to solve this problem, have you tried to append data to an access database., if yes then please help me....
Your help would be greatly appreciated and thanks so much in advance....
