manousina,
Out of concern, I am wondering if the protests has ceased or toned down because I do not think anything could come out of it especially when these protests turn violent.
I believe the EC would be able to bail your country out but with the current economic weather, the pace will be slow. Hopefully, consensus could be reached in due time and soon.
Do keep us informed as I am sure a lot of us are concern too.
Have a nice day.

manousina,
Violence will not solve anything and I just hope these political parties will sit back and every one do their bid to stop this hemorrhaging.
It would be good that these loss of salaries will not mean loss of jobs as the latter will have a more latent effect to a economic recovery or well being.

Decrease of 2500 euros is too big . But what can you do is do some other extra job in your free time . Maybe that can help you in recovering your losses . Don't lose heart , the economy will soon recover and you will be earning more soon . Be confident .

Thanks I hope that economy will recover soon. But it would be difficult. When government takes money from your salaries it's difficult to give us our money back.

Perhaps no one responded because they have similar problems of their own and your problem is no different from theirs or you are actually better off than a lot of them.
At least you still have a job, even if you are taking home less pay.
My own company cut the bonuses they had been giving for years ($960 less per year), increased the amount we have to pay for our insurance ($260 per year), and the state increased the amount being taken our for income tax ($156 per year), and sales tax by 1% of all of our taxable purchases. On top of that the price of things is still going up. But, at least I still have a job.
There are a lot of people who have lost their jobs and no new jobs are opening up that they are qualified for. I personally know two people who were in management positions; but, lost their jobs. One is now working as a stocker for a discount store and the other only has part-time work selling food at a movie theathre concession stand. Other people are still unemployed and are running out of government benefits.
I know people who have lost their homes; either because they couldn't pay the mortgage or the landlord they were renting from lost the property.
So, be glad you have a job and if you need more than your job currently pays start looking for a new job or a part-time job to supplement your earnings.

Sweetie, live up. No offense, but all of us come here to play and relax. We don't want to hear about work or salaries, ACCEPT, if you have a problem we can help with. Have fun with your discussions. That is what we like. TATA.

We do care!!! But I don't really know how to respond. I have heard about some of the problems in Greece and the British News here has shown some of the scenes from the protests in the streets, but I don't know much else about it. I hope things improve for you and your country very soon.
