I have seen some magic shows by famous magicians. But I have not yet seen them performed magic in front of me. If I was spell bound watching it on TV then it might be more fantastic in actual happenings. The fact that their magic tricks were revealed to the public it somehow diminished the interest and mystery surrounding with magic. I prefer that they should have not reveal their tricks because magic is no longer fun to watch. It lost the greatest mystery of all and when you say magic it was supposed to mesmerize us and give us an illusion of outer world experience.

Pros and Cons like any other Let start with cons first: they revealed trade secrets that people will lost interest in since they thought it is impossible to achieve than someone out of a sudden somebody revealed it, killing the excitement. They will loss valuable trademarks thus returning them to the scratch and study time to bring another mind boggling acts, which in a way brings to the pros, it will challenge their creative minds to step up a notch and even level up their tricks and inspire them to innovate something else or new.

Hello, I dont think it makes any difference knowing how a magic trick is done. If anything I think it makes it all the more interesting. We all know that it is just an clever visual trick on the mind and not some kind of supernatural magic or witchcraft. If you dont want to know how the necromancer does his show then dont watch the revealing tv programmes. Just my thoughts on the matter. Have a spellbinding day....

i think that the tricks that they show and reveal are really old and not for use in future and besides they are making a whole lot of money from revealing their precious techniques. The T.V. channels and the producers must be paying them really good or otherwise they would have never agreed upon it. Even if they reveal thier tricks still it is realy difficult to catch hold of them or perform it like they do.They are total professionals and far experienced. I am they must be losing sales of their shows but they will cover it up with some new tricks and also not everybody watches television.

I watched a few of those shows before before, and they ruined my love for magic tricks. I thought it would be pretty cool to look into the behind the scenes aspect of what these people do. But just like explaining a joke to someone, it becomes just...blah as you go into the details.

it's a double edged sword for me. Of course, out of curiosity I want to learn how they do it. Then after watching I feel disappointed with a "what? that's it?" kind of question bothering me. We all know they all do setup beforehand and it's not *really* magic, but whenever you see a trick for the first time there is always this amazement and wonderment that goes with "how the hell did he just do that??". Essentially, this show takes that amazement away. And curiously this discussion reminds me of the movie "The Prestige". It's awesome by the way, if you haven't watched it, you should.
