I think you need to go back to church and pray. God makes everyone in his image, with individual features. He has his reasons for creating everything and everyone in the ways that he does, this includes black people white people gay people lesbian people disabled people etc etc etc ..... he does not hate gay people, the church does, and if you took enough time to read that GREAT book - that you seem to be so happy to preach from and in so many other threads on here keep TELLING people that they are wrong - PROPERLY, reading on the lines and between them, use the open mind that god gave to you and not the closed narrow one that society gave you, you would realise he does not say gay is wrong anywhere, other people do but he does not and where he did, I can almost guarantee you that GOD the almighty who maps everything out before he does it, would have allowed such a "defect" if it was so sinful. Gay people are here to stay and they are no different to you, the only difference if any is our open minds and you closed ones. My advice to everyone on this mans threads, do not post, no matter what your opinion, he will tell you AS HE HAS IN ALL HIS OTHERS that you are wrong and he is right. Use your own minds to decide, that is why God gave you one :)

I am very new on here (only posted for the first time yesterday - hence the reason I have not commented on this subject before now)
I am in agreement with a lot of comments made by some people, but to say things like "I just don't want to be one" and "The recent increase is a way of curbing over-population" is just plain ignorant!
You DO NOT get to choose, your path is pre-determined, it's your gene pool and the balance of your hormones etc. that decide things for you.
As for "The recent increase...." comment, the population of the world as a whole has increased dramatically, further, there has been no recent increase, people have lived "Gay" lives for many, many years, it's just that the general population are more accepting of other people’s situations nowadays . We all look the same, one head, two arms, two legs etc. so who are we to say how or who with, people should fall in love. A male to male, female to female love is just as strong as the love felt in a heterosexual relationship!

A bit off topic, it really does my heart good to see so many people who have a mind and an understanding of differences. When my son told me that he was gay I was so afraid for him. I offered him my utmost support and suggested he talk with my brother, who is also gay, but the fear remained. With the exception of a few, all of the "Gay" posts on Mylot have been very affirming. Gives me faith in the human race. I'm still concerned for my son, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. THank you.

I wonder why you are so obsessed with this issue. I post on a lot of gay discussions because it is a personal issue for me. Half of my family is gay. I'm a PFLAG mom. But I always wonder what makes a person so much against homosexuality that they would troll the gay posts. What is your deal??

I think that it is an individuals right to choose who they want in life. God gave of free will to make or own choice but we still have to answer for what we do. As long as they are not hurting anyone and otherwise live by the laws then I have no problem with what they do. I just don't want to be the one that will have to explain myself in the end!

and the question is why do we have to catagorize ....why does it have to be placed in a slot and labeled---some people are one way and others are another and yet others another
