I just finished Jodi Picoult's book A Change of Heart. It is very different. It can be a good quick read, or you can contemplate some of the issues Picoult raises in the book.
I also read The Secret Life of Bees over the past couple of days. Excellent book. I guess now I need to see the movie.

I just finishing reading two books by Randy Alcorn: Deception and Dominion. I read the books in reverse order, but I'm glad I did. Deception was better than Dominion. I think Alcorn tried to lay too much groundwork in Dominion.
Alcorn writes Christian fiction. Both of these are detective thrillers, murder myster type books.
I also recently finished House Rules by Jodi Picoult, which is an excellent book. I'm now reading a Picoult book I picked up at the thrift store, Change of Heart.
Picoult is an excellent author. I recommend these. I have not figured out how this will end, which is good, but I can see that Picoult's books definitely demonstrate that things are not always as they appear to be.
I haven't taken a bite out of the New Moon saga, yet. My son has all of the books, though. I probably should. Do you recommend New Moon?

The last book I read was "The Kingdom Keepers" by Ridley Pearson. It was wicked fun. Before that I read "Saint" by Ted Dekker which was pretty cool, and before that I read The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan which was also very fun. I could list all the books I've read this year one by one... (And there are 46 of them) but that would get redundant. If you like the Twilight Saga though, then you might like "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins.
