how to lock the referer link?

i join many programes on internet. i observe one this almost in all programe that you get paid for refering friends.. i want to know is any way u know by which we can hide referer link and cloak it? i see one site its www.tinyurl.com but its just hiding your link and forwoding. is there any way by which we can hide real web address and our referer cant see before register the programe?
