Hi anbfriend,
I heard once that trying to use a specific exercise to target fat in a specific area does not necessarily work, and instead a normal healthy regime is the best idea. For my abs though I do do sit ups and things like that. There is a routine thing I picked up from somewhere, probably a weight lifting website, which involve sit ups, leg raising and lowering, and then moving legs forwards and back while laying on your back (I have no idea what any of the moves are called) and I like to do that as something for my stomach and hopefully future abs. Not sure about hips though. The closest I come are probably side bends with weights which I think works on keeping my sides trim. I tend to do things in groups of 50 because I like round numbers, start off small though and work up depending on strength levels
Generally though I think if you are just healthy you will firm up over time.
All the best and good luck,
Dranz
PS: Never tried water therapy so I am afraid I can't be of any help in that area.

I am not sure what you mean by "water therapy", but exercising in the water is good for not only weight loss but also toning and strengthening muscles. Another thing that is very good for your tummy and hips is dancing, especially certain types of dancing such as Belly-dancing, Hip Hop, and Salsa, although other types can be just as effective. There are videos on the market that can help you learn the dance steps, but if you like dancing, then you can just turn on the music and move to the beat and get results, although they might not be as targeted as some of the videos.
