i found that i had just replied to a discussion twice at two different times. the first one was several months ago and if the discussions seems sort of familiar to me, i will look to see if i have replied to it, but this time i didnt and found that i had replied to this one already.
has this happened to you or do you always check to see if you have replied to it already?

cher, dear friend...that is far toooooo structural for me! Most things these days seem very happenstance, and that is the kind of "feux pas" that I am terribly prone to these days! But, hey...it's not a bad thing, don't admonish thine self..but I find it interesting when I re-read these "same discussion" replies to see if my thoughts are still the same!
WOW are you having some kinda "sweet weather" back East! I have some clients here, right now...whom are wishing they were home in Ontario...I think, as it is cool and drizzly here...Nights are still far TO COOL to get my poor tomatoes in!
OH..and it adds a few cents..LOL! Take care and Cheers!

Pergy!!! Where've you been hiding? How are you doing these days?
I'm sorry to hear your weather isn't cooperating for you. It's nice here but overcast and has been drizzling a lot in the past few days. I have some of my tomato plants in already and hope to get the rest in this week, if the weather cooperates and it doesn't rain long enough for me to get them all in.
I hope you're well. Take care!

Both my computer and I have been having "a few" Health Issues! Living where I do, getting health care for either one, is not as easy as living in the City! No computer "techies" here on the Island, so the computer or I go for a Ferry ride to the experts..LOL!
Our days are not up to par, weatherwise..between 16 & 20C (62 to 7oF) but the NIGHTS are really cool (I still am making my fire everynight)...all under 10C and my tomatoes just hate cold feet. This year I am just growing heritage..both determinate and indeterminate, so will see what does best here!
I was "blacking out" a lot..scary...wore a "Heart Holter" for 24 hours and found out I have both tachyardia, and arythmia...seems to be under control now with meds.
Nice to hear from you...too! Take care...and happy growing!

I can always tell if I've already responded to a discussion because I rate every discussion I respond to. So if the discussion is rated, I know I've already been there and done that. But I've had people respond to my discussions more than once. So I'm sure it happens to a lot of people.

Hi cher,
Yes I have done that too. I usually rate a discussion (+) as soon as I go to respond to it. That way I know that I have already responded. That is a great method as long as I remember to do that. Oh and then there were like days when mylot was doing an upgrade and we couldn't rate discussions.

Once in a great while, but usually I check. The twice in one is usually a computer glitch. I think the computer didn't send it and the next thing I know, it did send the first one and the second time I hit send, too.

well that discussion must be that interesting for you, that you have gone to responding with it twice. i never experience yet responding in a discussion twice, but if ever i did then the discussion was pretty interesting maybe that i have made myself responded twice. not bad at all but i am not that sure if that is bad or it is against mylot rules.

I've done that once. It was quite recently, too. I think the discussion was about six months old and, like you, it seemed familiar but I thought that maybe I had just read the discussion before and not responded to it.
Oh, well. No harm, no foul. I don't think there's a rule about not posting more than once so, cool, you'll get paid for your second response!

I've posted to many discussions which are indeed the same, I think mylot shouldn't worry about it. It's normal for things to be repeated and the more threads, the more they'll receive traffic. I just personally think they should cut down on the members who post one line discussions or one's very small. Like this? as deleting responses which are actual quality is somewhat unfair due to some the original poster not being bothered.
I try to check if I have responded already but I do forget.

I've done that too! I would think they could come up with a system that would highlight the topic title in a diff color or some thing. But who know's if they'd do something like that for us. I guess as long as we still get credit for the response it's all good IMO.

Hi Cher, I amnswered a discussion that was over a year old once but not twice but because I have restartd it I suppose it comes back near the top again so it is an easy mistake to make. I usually answer a I go along though so this instance shouldn't happen to me, well hope not anyway lol. Hugles. Ellie :D

Yeah it happens. It mostly happens on discussions where there are pages of responses, I don't remember responding and I just do not feel like paging through all the responses to see if I was there already!

I've never had this happen (yet). But, I can see how it could easily happen to anyone. Thanks for making me aware of this, it most likely will happen to me in the future. I wouldn't worry too much about it. :-)

Actually, yes almost.
There was one discussion that even though it sounded familiar, I just figured that like most discussions here in myLot, was just similar. I already typed in my response and was about to send it, when I had second thoughts. So, I copied the response, so I could just paste it when I open the response field again. Then I went through the previous responses and was surprised to see that I had already responded with more or less the same thought.
