ESPN has the power to revive the stort of Boxing.

Last time I checked, more homes get at least one of the ESPN channels than Showtime or HBO. They are also connected with ABC.
So...If they wanted to, ESPN could bring Boxing back as a semi major sport all on their own. They have the resources, but aren't making an effort to do it.
Money talks, and that network doesn't look like it's short of funds.

i think the media can only do so much to revive a moribund sports. boxing was once an undisputed most talked sports during the times of ali, hagler, leonard, tyson, de la hoya, etc. with the popularity of mixed martial arts, boxing is facing a worthy opponent in presenting which contact sports is better. well, i think it si still the boxers that make or break the sports. larry bird, magic johnson and michael jordan brought basketball to a global arena. so i believe pacquaio and mayweather can bring back the magic of boxing to the fans.
