I am preparing to go on a camping and biking holiday soon and I know that I need to be careful about the weight of equipment that I bring and to make sure that all my packing is kept to a minimum. Does anyone have any tips?

On my bike I had two panniers with my baggage equally dispersed in. They fitted on the rear of my bike. I suggest taking a very lightweight tent. It is lovely to take a plastic plate and cup. I have got a camping towel. I suggest taking a small wash kit. I take a lightweight sleeping bag and a small pillow. I take some nutty and fruity bars to eat. I take a bottle of water. Have a lovely camping and biking trip.

Great tips, thanks. Have the panniers and must make sure that they are equally balanced! Can't wait to go on holidays now...

you will want to pack as lightly as you can clothing wise. get a thin nylon jacket that can be rolled up and can act as rain gear and a windbreaker. dont take jeans, take sweat pants instead because they are much lighter than jeans.

Great, thanks! Especially good advice about the jeans, I was wondering whether to pack them or not...
