I have gotten people like that. They make you feel like your dumb and putting them out. Meanwhile it is their job, which they wouldn't have if it weren't for people like you. If you get the same woman again and she is still snotty you should report her. She may have just been having a bad day, but if she works with the public she should know better than to take it out on customers.

I think if i am polite to people they should at least be polite to me.If i ever get another snotty person like that i will ask for the complaints address aswell as their name.If i had of had more time yesterday then i would have reported her but i was soo angry when i got off the phone i just thought better of trying to calm down as my bp was getting high and making me feel soo ill.

Every time I pay my internet bill... the person cashing in is the mother of the one that keeps the business, and she always feels like it's not her job, treating anyone coming in to pay that bill with disgust. I'm not sure how much mockery I can take from this woman, so she had better stop it before I lose myself completely. .

I think some people are really out of order when you are trying soo hard to be nice and polite to them that they really can push you to wanting to snap back at them or even tell them what you think about their attitude. She should have been happy as she has a job,if it was not for people like me ringing up then she would not have a job.

Indeed. Instead, she has to mop the floor with other people's dignity, and I bet she does it like it's a right of hers or something... like maybe she thinks she's entitled to be that way. Well either she got the wrong idea of manners, or simply had a very bad day herself... who knows?

Hi Jugsa, I have never found this whenever I have had to phone, got my P60 in the post yesterday so will probably call them up tomorrow, hope I don't get the same woman. Think the only change I need to tell them is that childcare has gone up by 50p per hour but my wages haven't lol, I am sure that will cause confusion. Huggles Ellie :D

Her attitude today stank so i hope you do not get her.I rang them to tell them the p60 amount and i also told her of the one other change that i get which was carers allowance for my son and thats when there were other questions that she was snapping at me like are there any other money that is coming into your house do you get anything in kind from your husbands employer, talk about feeling like i was being a pain for renewing it.

hi jugsjugs oh yes I have felt like that too.a few months ago I came back to my room after having been away and found I was off the net. At that time I did not know what to do so called Time WarnerCable company and I got this woman with a germanaccent, now I have nothing against a German but when she tried to tell me how to reset the modem and the router all I was getting was you pull out blahblah then you blah the blah then you pull blah blah wait blah blah Put blah back in the blah. well I asked her to repeat it more slowly as I tried to decipher her german pronunciation of English words. finally i had to give up and asked that they send a technician to help me. okay the man comes, he speaks clearly and abruptly telling me I should have been able to do that myself then I erupted a bit and told him about Hilda so he looked at me and laughed.oh he said now I see,you should have asked to have a different person to guide you. she is really impossible to understand unless you have known her for a long time. So he did take time to show me which wire to pull, how long to wait and which one to do first. myson also showed me so that I could do it myself so when they turned off the electricity here on night,it threw me off the internet but now I knew how to reset and it worked. i was so proud of myself as I had learned to do this for myself. that woman made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her.

I also felt like i was an inconvinience aswell to the woman, perhaps she thought her job was just to sit there are do nothing all day other than be snotty to all the people that called.Even if she was having a bad day there is no excuse for her and her snotty attitude as they are supposed to be there to help you not to wind you up.

I am not a person who really wants to slap anyone normally, but that woman was really pushing me and if i had to see her yes i think she would get a slap as all she done was be snotty as in the voice aswell as her attitude stank.I think perhaps she was having a bad day,but i had had a bad day aswell but i did not take it out on her, next time i will.

I hate calling that number because it's government. It feels like "how dare you interupt my coshy job sitting in my padded chair and my $4000.00 desk" When it comes to phone calls like that I just ask if I can speak to their manager and when I have the manager on the phone, I will let them know how rude their employee is. I'll simply say that I am shocked at how they have an employee working for them that has an attitude like that. Take care

Hi, jugsjugs. Yes, I know how you feel. I run into snotty people daily if I go out or if I am on the phone with someone. I don't know why people are so snotty. They ought to give their job to me so that I can show them how to really work it. They should never make a customer feel like they are barging or intruding on them. That is a part of their job, to welcome any and all customers. I don't know why they act like this. All calls are supposed to be monitored, so I wonder why they can get away with having such dry nasty attitudes?? ***As I always say about snotty people like this: Without customers their business goes downhill. Customers are an huge asset to the company, so they should be mindful at how they treat these customers. One customer equals a lifetime of recurring customers.

I have occasionally. I haven't had a run in with the IRS since the 80's. I didn't have enough taken out and had to pay back. I had a situation where I payed my entire balance and they thought I hadn't. I had to prove I had. Not much of a problem and the people I dealt with were fine. Sorry to hear you had this experience. Hope it doesn't happen again.

I hope so as well. I wonder if that is how they handle things now days or if you just got a winner.

I hope that it do not happen again as i can see why people do not bother to get intouch with them half the time if that is their attitude.Perhaps she was having a bad day,but even when i have had a bad day i do not take it out on anyone else and if i had her job then i still would not take it out on anyone else as i would be pleased to have a job this day and age.

Oh, yes! I think we all have! I don't have to deal with child tax credit but people working for the public like this shouldn't be snotty to their customers. I had a bookstore back in the 80s and I was taught not to be rude to customers or they might not come back. I don't think there's any excuse for being rude to anybody. It looks like there would be a way you could report this person. If he/she is rude to just about everybody, he/she could end up losing his/her job.

I know what you mean as there are alot of people out there that are rude to people that they should be helping, but all the same they are rude no matter to who or for what ever reason.Alot of people should be happy to other people as they at least have a job where as there are alot of people out there that would be polite if they did have the job.

Every time I call customer service for any kind of an issue this is what I feel like. I've had to call Canon recently because my older camera quit working and it was a known issue that had caused a recall. Well, they seemed okay on the phone and promised to send me a shipping label so I could mail it to them so the camera could be fixed. That was in February, I've never seen the label and they won't send another because they already have a label registered for my camera's serial number. I would like to be able to get it fixed, but they don't seem too terribly interested in customer service.

I've had it happen in the public and private sector. It's like they forgot they're number one task is customer service. Unlike the private sector, where you can shop somewhere else, you have to deal with the public sector employees, because they're it. Our motor vehicle department really use to be that way...it's better now, but I still hate renewing my driver's license in person. Most of the time I do it online and avoid the public employees.

Oh I have to do this as well (thank you for reminding me ). I also had this last year, they were so unhelpful and yet, it is supposed to be so easy to phone up to renew everything, although really the way they speak to you well it just gets on my nerves because they seem to make everything so much harder

Hi jugsjugs, I am assuming you live in the uk? sorry to hear that happened to you. the person probably was having a bad day but that is no excuse for bad customer service. The one time I had a bad experience with a tesco driver, I sent in a letter of compliant. Tesco apologised and gave me £10 off my next grocery shopping online! You might try complaining, at least that would help them curb bad customer service. Speaking of which I need to renew my child tax credit!
