A couple of females co - workers always chatting about last night show, about American Idol; the biggest Losers; and Doctor Os etc...... When I ask them, would they be able to live without television, the answer is certainly not. Not even one day they say. For me, with the convenience of computer, I won't mind to give up the tube box. I can still watch everything online. That will be different mentality. Can you live without television?

i totally agree! I saw this one show when I was at my boyfriend's house. His younger brother was watching it. It was called 'Making Fiends.' I am serious. It's a show about this girl who doesn't want to have any friends, but this one girl keeps trying to be friends with her. The girl keeps trying to kill her. Yes, it's a cartoon too. No wonder why kids are so messed up nowadays. What happened to the television shows back in the 90's? :(

I guess it would be possible to live without television. This would not happen for me by choice. It would have to be a decision brought on to me. Television watching is one of my passions. I would really miss it if were gone. I guess that would leave for time for mylot. That is the only consolation to no television.

I am happy to live without TV. There are so many other things to do besides watching TV. My life doesn't have to evolve round the ''box'' but then again, it's good to watch anything that is educational, funny or relaxing now and again.

I think I could easily.
It's nice to have but I think it's nice sometimes to be able to sit inside a room where the television doesn't dominate the sound. Could I live without one for my Playstation? I couldn't go that far, gaming is something that keeps me on my toes and when I have nothing better to do i enjoy having a little time on my playstation. The television channels these days don't do enough to keep their audiences which is one of the reasons it's becoming less of a family thing to do.

This is a very interesting quesiton. I could probably live without television, except I would have to find a hobby, activity or something to do to fill the 2- 3 hour gap in my average day. I guess I would just surf the web more and watch my favorite shows online.

No, it is because I don’t have computer. If I have computer I can watch online but I doubted if all the cable channels we have are all in the internet. I still will not give up my television. Some website, you have to pay just to watch their shows online. Whenever our television is wreck, I feel sad and I want it urgently to be fixed so that we can watch. That is the only entertainment we have at home, besides radio

We've had no choice but to live without television as our satalite is down once again because of the windstorm here. It's been down since yesterday morning and is still not working. Hubby is going to be mad when he gets home! We watch American Idol every Tues and Wednesdays and today is Wednesday so I guess we are going to miss the season finale which is a HUGE disapointment!
Take care

Without television, no way! Think of the big LCD TV that are so pleasant to watch. The tendency concerning computers is to become smaller not bigger. There is a difference between them. Then, as I work on the computer most of the time, using the computer instead of a TV would seem to me that I'm not relaxing. To relax, I have to close my computer!

I am living without the television. I can watch my sports and movies online. And I have my DVD's and VHS, if I need to see a movie. I am too busy trying to make money on the Internet and I'm not interested in American Idol and many of the cop shows on tv. If I had cable, I would just watch sports, PBS, Discovery Channel, Learning channel, and maybe some Lifetime.

I think I can live without television because I am not to addicted to it.
I usually count the television to watch a recent news but I ca get that from radio or internet.
So I really can live without television.
From our last vacation to my dad hometown where is no TV at all, I can manage myself to do other thing and not even miss the TV.

Of course I could "LIVE" without TV as I never watched TV until I was a teenager (yes I am that old) we didn't have TV back them. I used to read in every spare minute. As for now-a-days I prefer NOT to have to do without TV.

it's hard to live nowadays without television..although there's an internet to provide all the shows in TV, i might say that TV is a bit different from what we search and watch on the monitor of our computer..

Yes, I think I could live without television. I mean, yes, there's a couple of shows I enjoy watching but don't watch them on the daily basis. Actually, most of my summer vacation right now is spent on making money and seeing my friends and boyfriend. Television isn't really that big of a deal to me.
