If there is one wonderful thing that is happening to Noynoy Aquino as president apparent of the Philippines, it is Shalani, his sweetheart, smiling softly and quietly by his side. Kris Aquino, the erstwhile news scooper,introduced the seemingly unlikely girlfriend of the unico hijo of the famed Aquino family in her Sunday afternoon talk show The Buzz. Shalani is 20 years Noynoy's junior. She comes from broken home. Her family is humble enough, her mother being an OFW for a number of years just to provide the basics and education to Shalani and her brother. But Shalani is beautiful. Hers is a face that could live forever young. Shalani is also calm and cool. She ain't the type to be easily provoked. And she is a natural in serving the people, as if she was born to it.
Shalani Soledad. I think Philippine royalty has just welcomed
a princess of the people.

Hello dear people, IF you want to put up a fans club for our first lady,please consider me i like her the way act, a typical DALAGANG PILIPINA, nowadays we can see a lot of beautiful faces in town. bUT Shalani is very rare she posses a very attractive aura not because of her pretty face but because of who she is, no facade very simple, i think the couple share the same attitude, very humble And simple,Im sure they drew strength from each other, thats why thier relationship still going strong. & i hope & pray they will end up, into each others arms in the near future. i am sure they will have a strong follower. thier love story is so inspiring. Im proud to say Im a Pilipino with leaders like them. cheers!

Hi Eileen,
i think i like her too. i was able to watch her interview with kris on the buzz and she exudes beauty and simplicity. you can feel the sincerity in every words she said and every experience she shared is something you don't want to miss. she is so humble too. noynoy is lucky enough to have her as a girlfriend. i hope their relationship will last forever.

hi, i saw her interview with kris aquino as well and i can say that during the duration of the interview she carried it well with grace and flying colors. she was so calm and demure, indeed the opposite of kris. she's beautiful and smart but sounded really grounded i can sense an amount of air in her. hope she stays that way.

i had watched that episode last sunday in the buzz. actually i wait for it because i want to know more about the intriguing shalani soledad. i admire for her being so simple, honest, kind and being down to earth. she is never ashamed about her feelings to noynoy. noynoy should be proud of having a girlfriend like shalani soledad. he could never ask for more.

Yeah seldom can you find such young, beautiful and a person that has a heart for public service and still is humble in her ways. I think she is typical old fashioned pinay or the Maria Clara types of a person. I think this is a good find for Noynoy. I just could not find a good reason why he would let Shalani wait for 6 years before they settle down. I think that is too long already and I think Shalani would never intrude in his ways if they settle down during the 6 years term. Noynoy being already in his late 40s or early 50s need to have a partner in life.

Hello eileen,
Her work as a councilor is a huge start, i hope she don't jump on the ladder and acquire different types of executive positions like being a mayor,governor, before going to the legislative positions.
she has potential, there's a chance for her to do great some day. as for now, it's noynoy's time.with her support.

I also like her too and she seems really nice and humble. Noynoy and her look like a like couple, and they are truly in love. I also like her because she is calm and composed all the time, she also has a kind smile and I think she will be a great leader ...

Hi eileen! You are not alone. I like Shalani Soledad too the very first time I saw her on tv. She looks like the perfect girl a guy could bring home to his mom. She is pretty and it seems as if she is not even aware of it. She speaks simply, although to me she looks like a smart woman, she is just not the type who has this "hey I'm a smart woman, so beware" look. Noy must be a lucky guy although obviously Kris does not like her for him, it does not really matter. I wish that the two of them would get married.

I also love Shalani. For the past weeks, I've only heard of her and that she's supposedly going to be the Philippines' next first lady. It was only last Sunday where I've finally seen her on tv. She's so pretty and it's like she doesn't know how pretty she is. She seemed very down to earth and sophisticated in her own way. She seems like a sweet girl and very educated too. For me though, she's too good for Noynoy, too pretty and too young.
