How do you promote your small biz? Twitter? Facebook? Myspace? Website?

Hello~ I'm a small business owner. I teach French, Spanish (& ESL) one-on-one and in small groups both locally and online. I also play piano for private parties and other events and teach piano lessons. I worked at an event Saturday where I was trying to promote my small business. I recently started using Facebook to promote my small biz. However, many people do not like Facebook and refuse to join it. I've heard people talk about Twitter and myspace for promoting their business. What do you do? Is it working for you? I have a small website; but it takes time to work on a website. And I haven't worked on it in a long time. I'm thinking that maybe I can ditch the monthly fee for the site if I can use free social networking. Any thoughts on that? Do you think it's necessary to have a website? Let me know what you use to promote your small business and other related thoughts and tips. Thanks very much! ~artsyfartsygal
