What do you think of E-Cigarette?

So you probably heard of this "e cigarette" or electronic cigarette. My father is a smoker and even though my mom wants him to stop smoking, he has difficulty in it since it became his habit. Does this electronic cigarette can help those smokers to stop smoking cigarettes?

I think that it feels the same as smoking because you do get the same nicotine. However, you don't get all the other chemicals and the smoke which harms you. Also there is no smoke to annoy other people. Apparently you can adjust the level of nicotine so you can gradually quit.
