My brain is muddled and I might lose my earnings because of that

As always I'll blame it on lack of sleep. But who knows right?
Here's what happened:
I'm purchasing items on ebay. GOt the orders screwed up so the seller had to cancel some orders for me.
Payment was good. Until I discovered I paid twice for an item. What the **** is wrong with me. Of course it might be because its my first time to purchase anything online--ever.
I'm afraid I'd lose my money if the seller won't refund me or something. What will I do? HElp anyone. I'm about to cry. Clearly I'm stupid. OR am i panicking too soon? the seller has good reviews so he might refund me after all.
But help me please. What do I do?

If the seller is reputable, when you e-mail them with shipping information, just tell them about the overpayment and no doubt they will refund it back. If they don't, you'd have to complain to e-bay, I suppose.

I already asked ebay and they said that I should ask my payment processor which is paypal.

I would open up a case against the seller, if you open a case then paypal and ebay get involved. Once all parties are involved your refund will come in with no problems.

Can you inform Paypal of the problem and get them to cancel the transaction?

Weel I suppose I can but I still have items waiting to be delivered from this seller so I don't want to be so drastic yet. Do you think I can ask ebay or something?

Indeed it's really good to check everything in any transaction. Further, shows that nothing good can come out of a person who's lacking sleep.
But don't fret, at least you'll not be going to go bankrupt because of the incident.
Further, though you used paypal for it and would not be reflected in E-bay, you could send him/her a copy of your paypal double entry (do print screen then paste in word or paint then save as file or image then email). Then if he/she wouldn't refund, then you have proof to give him/her a bad reputation on ebay.

I wont get bankrupt but I'll lose hard earned money if ever. The seller is still being vague how I could get my money back.

But the last purchase-the double payment-is not recorded in my account in ebay. Only in Paypal. I'm stressing right now because the seller is not yet responding to my message. Aaaargh. Not my lucky day really!
