For yesterday's dinner, we had miklfish daing. Instead of marinating it with vinegar and garlic, I marinated it with barbecue marinade mix, a little splash of Worcestershire sauce and salt. it smelled so good while i was frying it and the color was dark like of that a pork barbecue. hmmm...my mom loved it!

daing - daing-milkfish
daing is actually a kind of cut in fish. daing is cutting fish into butterfly. in my discussion, it is milk fish cause it's the most common fish to be cut like that. we fry that fish but before frying, you can marinate the fish first with vinegar, salt and garlic. this is typically how it looks like when it's already fried.

Hi, mspitot. Hmmm. That sounds good. I have never heard of this before. Is this pork or beef of some kind?

the dark color is probably because of the barbecue mix and worcestershire sauce. good thing it's not undercooked. because of the dark color, one might think that it's already burned. the main reason I don't put soy sauce or anything like it on fried dishes. if you say it's good, I'll definitely try it. now I feel hungry. ^_^

daing na bangus - i cut it into four cause it's easier for me to cook it thay way cause it won't fit to my non stick pan if i cook it whole.
yes the color is due to it's marinade. the daing was not undercooked but it wasn't hard and crispy like the ordinary daing. the meat was tender. it was good! it smlled and tasted really good!
