What do you do of an evening when all the children are in bed

Actually, since I've been a mother, I really do prefer to be at home in the evening after the children are in bed. When they've gone to bed, that really is my prime computer time. I will spend some time here on mylot and also playing my video game while listening to some of my favorite radio shows. During this time, my husband is watching his television shows. It is so calm in the house after the children are in bed. I feel like I am able to get a lot done during this time.

Most of the time I go to bed too - ha ha. I am so exhausted by the end of the day with a 5 year old and 6 month old!! I often plan to come out after putting the baby down at night, but I always manage to snooze - and for too long - so I end up just staying in bed. Sometimes I will be awake enough to get on the computer for a bit - and then I'll be on for a while til the baby wakes up again - but I know I'll end up paying for it the next day.

I spend my time either online or watching tv. Which isn't much time before I go to bed myself. It is a lot calmer with the kids in bed. I don't have to hear Mom, I want this, I want that, or I need you for things. Speaking of the kids being in bed, I think I will head to bed myself. Tomorrow starts all over again. Doesn't matter if the kids are out of school or not.

I tend to watch movies. I sometimes play on my playstation, when they was little and the weather was bad I would listen to the rain or thunder. I really like the peace that comes with the evenings and I wished that people would respect others when they make noise. For me it's time to spend doing things for myself, as during the day I work and then play with my children. Sometimes I like to spend time doing absolutely nothing.

Yeah, I am at home too. So that mean no clubbing for me either. I would rather be at home anyway. I will look at magazines and T.V. If the laptop is free, I will start working at my online jobs. I will also clean up and do anything that I have been putting off. I love when my kids are asleep and quiet. I am able to do so many things. Enjoy your evenings during your quiet moments, jugsjugs.

I actually really enjoy being at home... it is nice to get out sometimes, but I am and have always been someone who is comfortable at home, even before I had kids... For me I get my youngest (15 month old) little man off to bed between 7 and 7.30pm, and then sit and use the pc, or have a bath, before waiting for 9pm to come around for my 9 year old to go to bed... and then I will sit and relax for an hour sometimes 2 hours, and either watch some TV, or have my time to use My lot!!

I do that also. I watch television and play on the pc. I sometimes will knit, read, or write. Then on the weekends my husband and I go out dancing/to play pool/ or go to a movie.

once my five year old goes to bed, that's my time to work on my websites, clean up the dinner dishes, get clothes and stuff ready for the next day. And if i am really lucky i find a few minutes to spend doing something that is just for me.

This is my time to be on the internet & catch up on making more money (surveys, etc), watch tv & crochet without being interrupted. I do these things during the day but having a 3 year old, you can imagine how much I get interrupted when she's awake.

It's a shame but me and my girls have pretty much the same bedtime....I have to get up so early for work that evenings aren't much fun for me during the week. It's the early mornings that I love. Especially weekend mornings. I watch a movie or play on the computer. I sometimes paint or just take a little time to myself..long bath or something like that. It's been a while since I have had any mornings like that but I will have three in a row after tomorrow! Finally...a long weekend!

Although once in a while I would appreciate to be in a pub with friends. Or even strangers rooting for the same team as we watch it on a big screen, and drinks on hand, I only have a few nights where I could watch TV or be at the PC by myself. So, i chose the latter. Sometimes I have a lot of work done, while I even keep myself entertained.

Hi friend, After a tiring day after doing full day hard work, physical as well as mental during the day time, i prefer to relax at home, with family members.I take evening walk with my wife and then we spend time together at home. Happy Mylotting. !

Why would you need to go out when you have your own personal computer...lol I'm pretty much a computer geek, with less friend, and never, I said never go to a pub, cafe, or something like that. Taking care the house and the kids are the most exhausting thing, so I only have the extra energy to sit in front of my computer and browsing the net, and update my blog.

When my kids go to bed I either get the rest of the housework done from earlier in the day or I just sit here on my computer earning money doing things and chatting as well. Once in awhile I will read a book or exercise but both of those are very rare as I am an internet junkie lol.

That's pretty much what I do too. I'm on the PC with the TV on. Even if I had the choice to go out, I'd probably still do the same thing. I prefer the peace and solitude of home over the busy nightlife out there.

I never went any where, couldn't afford to. But a long hot shower and a book were my escape, then bed so that i could get some rest befoe someone needed me in the night.

well my parents are sleeping too when we are in bed hehe lol. They are not the clubbing type but sometimes they go out with relatives and such.

i hate going out in the evenings,i much prefer to sit and watch telly and go on my laptop,like tonight if i went out i'd miss Waterloo Road,which is one of my favourite programmes

I have to say its really strange that you posted this because almost at the same time I made a post sort of similar except I was stating that if I don't go out in the evening and socialize I feel unmotivated to even start my next day.
