Share A Spot ... Road trip from Oklahoma to Oregon

I am relocating back to Oregon, my home state this July and my mother and I will make a vacation out of it. We are taking the low road so I don't have to put so much pressure on my car through all the mountains. We will be going through the states of: Oklahoma (of course), Northern Texas, middle of New Mexico, Arizona, up to Nevada. Plan to stay in Reno, well, mom wants to. Then home base, Oregon. Has anyone travelled this route and know of some interesting sites to see. Do tell, I have never been this route of seen these states, except for Nevada and would like to have a great vacation.
