I have thought about it but haven't had a chance to do so, I do though have tons of books that I can swap and get what I like. But the thought of spending money to send it by mail....eh! Have you done this before? What sites do you go on?

I use paperbackswap but yes, you do pay for the shipping, but I find books that I want to read or peaks my interest to read. Depending if your have hardbound or paperback, really it don't cost that much to mail a book out media mail. I mailed a hardbound 400 page book and cost me less that $3.00.

Now a paperback can vary depending on the weight. Sometime it can be mailed first class cheaper than media mail. I would say no more than $2.25.

I'm a member of goodreads.com. It's not just a website where you swap books, you can also post your current library, reviews of books you've read, reccommend books to your friends - it's pretty much like facebook for readers. I've met quite a few really cool people online that share my same reading habits and had great discussions. Which is refreshing, since my husband isn't a big reader - and neither are most of my friends. I haven't requested any books to be sent to me, but I have personally sent out 13 books to other people. It's good book karma. I'd rather a book I loved be read by someone else than gather dust in my house.
