Do you feel you have a purpose or calling in life?

I feel that everyone has a purpose in life. We will all hopefully find our purpose in life. I am happy to those of you who might have already found their purpose in life. I am still struggling with the daunting task of making something out of myself and solidifying a good life for myself through success and hard work.
Have you found your purpose or are you still looking?

The purpose of life is a long way for others it maybe seems you found it already but actually it is just a parcel of it. Me , at the moment my purpose is to become a good sister, daughter, wife and a mother to my family members. Try to read some books inspirational books that will help you a lot. I did before and I realize so many things about life.
YOu may read book entitled ,Purpose Driven Life.

That's cool. I never knew that inspirational books would help inspire my own life. I'll think about it but I'm usually pretty stubborn and I believe in forging my own path and not imitating others. It is a good idea to emulate those who are successful =)

I agree that every person has a purpose. I also agree that not everyone has found it. I was on my way and now I'm sidelined because I broke my leg and widened out my ankle. So now I have to see a speacialist and find out about surgery. I say I'm sidelined because I'm not allowed to move my leg, step or apply pressure on my leg, and I have to keep it up in the air. So finding a path I know all to well.

You're sidelined, but you aren't completely stopped.. I wish you good luck with your recovery so you can get back at finding your purpose in life. I also agree that not everyone has found their purpose in life, but everyone indeed has one. (:

awh Mickeydurkin I'm very much sorry to hear about your condition! Guess what; I have once got my leg broken in the early morning where I was rushing to classes & that was 3 semesters ago where it got stuck on the little space between the train & the flat. It broken from the ankle that got me staying at home for 5 months unable to walk at all. I wore the gypsum for about 5 months! I just hated my life during that time as I thought I lost the purpose of my life & all my dreams gone..I was very much frustrated that I didn't want to talk to anyone..I was very hopeless...
But now i'm feeling much better though the doctor has warned me to be careful as it might get me to lose the leg if it happens another time although, I do run & race with my friends a lot!! I just can't make it to get myself sitting watching others enjoying life with all its related fun & joys..

Yes, I do think that I have some kind of purpose in life. I'm sure we all do. I don't think that we always know what it might be, but we do have a purpose. I do think that I have somewhat of an idea what my purpose is, but it's not 100% clear. I still am trying to figure out more what it is.

Now that I come to think about this I'm not so sure! I used to believe that I did have a purpose in life but now things have changed and I'm just taking life as it comes and living for the moment, I'm not planning for the future or anything like that. I tend to read a lot of those self-help books and the majority of them say the same thing and that is, it's important to be nice and respectful towards everyone! I suppose this has to be the main purpose of anyone.
It's different for everyone though as we all have different goals and plans. Some people want to make it to the top whilst others don't mind remaining in the same position, doing the same things and there's nothing wrong with this either. I think the main goal is to be happy in life and I'm seeking to achieve this on a daily basis. Andrew

I believe that we all have a purpose in life. We all have something to achieve. Some of us know are calling earlier in life than others. Some may spend their entire lives still searching for their purpose. We all have the purpose. We just need to find it and accept it.

Right now I am still confused about what really is my purpose in life. I also don't have a clue or a feeling of what I may be in the future. I am already 28, a nursing course graduate, a mother , a wife, a virtual assistant and it feels like I'm just doing this to buy myself some time for something which I don't know what is it. I am getting old and I still don't know what I will become in the future. My daughter is growing up and my present job is very far from my profession. I don't know If I will be like this for long or if I am going to be successful in the future. Right now I am just going with the flow.

I think I on the road, the right road for finding my purpose in life, first I been a help to some, although I am not financially successful till this day, my ample money has saved and help some life, providing or lending someone with all that you have is a calling i felt contented with. I always find peace and happiness in helping others in my little way. Second when i found my love of my life I found a purpose to continue living, she's given me enough courage and inspiration.

I am pretty much convinced that I am doing what I should be doing. Which is, to share what I have learned about God and life with anyone who cares to know. So this is what I will keep doing. I hope you also find the best way for you to use your life. All the best in your search.

The purpose i know for now is to help my family. I feel i have to finish that purpose first before starting my own family. It's a general for everybody, i guess. If you're asking for a very specific one then i'm afraid i haven't known mine yet.

Yes, I believe that I have a purpose in life and I already found it. I believe that in order for a person to find his purpose, he must find and get to know the person who gave him that purpose, so that he will know why he made him and what is his purpose.

For me, purpose is something that we will keep on searching for and will be fulfilling as long as we live. For now though, I am still unaware of my true purpose. It's a quest that I am still looking for as I keep an open mind and an open heart. I often ask questions like " What am I doing here?", " Am I really where I want to be?", and the like and try my best to look for answers to my many questions as I go along with my life.

Yes, I think I do, actually. At first, I thought it was writing, but I soon grew tired of it, so apparently, that wasn't it. Then, I started working with kids and found out that I take great joy from it. I usually come home happy from work and that's a rare thing, since most people despise their jobs. I think my calling is to be a teacher, even though part of me is nervous about teaching.
