hey friends...
Well, I do prefer to get myself in the kitchen to cook but, I just can't make it as i do live in hostel during the semester where we are not allowed to cook.. so, my hosteling life is basically based on delivery..while during the semester breaks I would surely go back home but I don't get the chance to cook all the time!! as mum & our maid are always on the kitchen leaving no space for me to share something unless if I could
what about you?

I love cooking.I cook every day. i can be at the kitchen for hours. i am very happy when i have friends as guests and i cook for them. you feel very proud when everybody says how tasty is your food, how did you done that ???? i love it. cooking at home is healthier, cheaper and more tasty.when i have guests i never take delivery i think that's offensive.of course sometimes i take delivery but i don't prefer it.

my wife is a good cook, so we eat home cooked meal everyday, but sometimes we eat out. its like giving her a break from thinking and cooking for me and my son. so we both enjoy those things. we also do deliveries specially when we are both craving for pizza. it is sad to see that in your hostel you are not allowed to cook. for it is better to eat cooked meals for you can choose what to put and how to cook it.

awh yeah you are right as cooking requires so much thinking as mum usually tells us that working is much better than cooking as cooking needs time to think over what to cook and no everyone sometimes agrees over the same food hahahah it is very hectic process *_*
yeah it is very sad that we are not allowed otherwise we would be fined with $50 each time!! we are really getting bored eating the same varieties daily as it is very seldom for the cooks to change the type of food here in hostel!!!

I prefer to self cooking. That's more save money, right? however, under certain conditions, for example, out of boredom with the food home or because arrival guest in large numbers, order food or buy food ready to eat, it is a fun way

Hi Smiley. i love to cook my own food to my taste and do some R&D while cooking. I do cook for parties for friends and for other occassions in our house. My wife will help during that time for cooking small quantities say like for 30 -40 persons. For huge quantities i employ a cook/chef to finish the menu for quantity above 100 nos.

I just love cooking. I have never had the chance to stay in a hostel. So most of the time I used to cook at home. My mother is a great cook and she has taught me variey of dishes. After marriage my cooking style has changed and now I cook to satisfy my kids too. My husband is a foodie so its even more interesting to cook.

Awh that is very interesting!! honestly, I don't know how to cook well..as I don't have the chance to cook by myself in hostel & at home, mum would usually cook by herself without having anyone to interfere her..sometimes the maid cooks too but we love mum's cooking :)

Hi smiley! Wow! I would be thrilled if I could get delivery all
the time!lol I wish I could afford it anyway! I don't mind
cooking, but sometimes I'm just not in the mood for the mess,
not so much the cooking part! And it is now Summer where I live
and it is going to get hotter and hotter and that will make it
more and more difficult for me to even think about cooking or
eating large hot cooked meals for that matter! But, we do have
to eat, so I will have to cook something! I just will not be
cooking as much in the oven!lol

hey Opal!! how are you doing dear?
well, it seems you are fed-up of spending so much time in the kitchen LOL yeah I do agree with you as during the summer we would not starve for hot or spicy meals as much as having cold stuff or easy made things like sandwiches instead of hot macaroni or rice though we do need them too..
here we are having summer all the time & you wont imagine how terrible the heat is especially these days that we don't feel hungry for hot meals at all!!

I love to cook. Unless I want to be pamper or too tired/lazy to cook, I'll make my own meal. And if I need to cook, I don't intend to let others in the kitchen, even my mom. It's too crowded! Not that the kitchen is small but there will be too many opinions on this and that. Some want to cook this that way and some not. It'll be annoying.
I used to stay in a hostel myself so I know about that no cooking rule. But we were provided free food by the management so I don't depend on delivery. I only brought a kettle as that's the only appliance allowed. Not much I could do with electric kettle at that time.

yeah the same thing here..as the moment I step my feet in the kitchen; everyone would mostly show up opinionated over this and that that make the whole thing upside down and make me regret doing the overall thing! though, I love cooking so much...
As for the hostel; well, the food is not free & it is way to expensive for the students specially! but we got no other options but to buy! As for the kettle, yeah I do have it but it is only used for boiling water! I'm thinking to have a rice cooker next semester although, it is not allowed but there are so many students using illegal electrical cooking stuff.. so, i'm thinking about getting the rice cooker though i'm still not so sure about it...

Hi, I love cooking too, but I don't know how to cook. The few things I can cook is rice, omlette and tea. I love cooking and I feel everyone should know certain things about cooking so that he does not starve in emergency. Luckily for me my wife is a great cook and she has made me lazy. Also my father cooks some special dishes but I am way too backward.

Hi back :)
awh that is really cool that you do help your wife though you rely mostly on her & your father's sweet dishes LOL yeah you are right as everyone should know how to cook few things at least & I am very much starving to cook by myself as i'm deeply in love with self cooking although I do like to eat outside too *_*

I like the taste of fast food but I only eat occasionally. It's not healthy and can easily get you to put on weight.Every time I go back to my hometown,my parents are the same too, they love you so you can sit aside to enjoy the love and do cooking in your own home when you have a family of your own.You will have a life time to do cooking then,so don't worry about this.

I'm sure everybody loves the home cooked meal, but sometimes we are very busy and no one will prepare the food for us, delivery is very convenient. YOu just dial the phone and minutes later the food is ready. But we must be cautious about these kind of food with regards to our health. We all know eating too much fast food affect our health.

I prefer home-cooked meals, and especially, I know how is it cooked and the ingredients by using fresh meat or vegetables.. I cook during my free time on weekends, i like to experiment to have some unique dishes..

I'd prefer to cook meals myself. Deliveries are pretty expensive. i have learned how to cook when i was 21 years old. kind of late but better late than never! my specialty is Filipino cuisine such as sinigang na baboy(sour soup pork), sinigang na bangus(soup sour milkfish), beef steak, menudo, afritada, fish in coconut sauce, sauteed bittergourd, tinola, chicken and pork adobo, prawns in lemon butter sauce, dory, etc... however, i am not sure if i can still prepare dishes when i get back to school.

I am goes with cooking on myself as I can be satisfied
to eat more than delivery. There are more differences
in delivery and cooking our own food. Limited is the
delivery whereas the food that we cook is better and
we can eat more, share and have it for the next meal
if there are things left. Lesser expenses than delivery
one. I am not satisfied well with order cause it is
less food than we have.

I have a family of 5 people and usually I cook a homemade meal everyday and they seem to love it. occassionally we will go out or order a pizza sometimes. But I prefer my husband to cook on the grill he is so good at it.
