Ping loss at night but all day it works fine.?,talking about my Lan based ISP...

I am suffering this from 15 day's and sometimes it makes me crazy & confused,even the Cable provider wants to make money out of it by selling me a new wire,he told me that your cable is weak,so due to foggy weather it gets ping loss so you must replace the cable first to get the problem caught.however i am speechless because it only troubles after sunset when it begins to slow down and early in the morning i get 0% ping loss and speed is also fine...now any of my friend would suggest me what to do...?
I am not ready to believe the cable guy story..so now i need to share this with you guys!

This could be that you have too many splitters at home that the cable man didn't install properly, or it could be that somebody is stealing cable from you. Try to track your cable from the light post, to your house, and then see if anyone has happened to be using your cable line. if they are, simply disconnect it and enjoy ^.^
