How many times a month do you bathe your cat? Is it okay to bathe it with our normal body shampoo?

I think it depends on what type of cat you have. Mine is a short-hair one and I typically give him a bath every 2 weeks during summer. During winter I seldom bathe him because he's scared of hair dryer and I don't want him soaked during cold winter. Some people say cats don't need bath at all because they clean themselves regularly by licking their hair.

I never bath my adults. Motherless kittens need baths when they are learning to eat because they get more food on themselves than inside their tummy. Occasionally I will bath a new cat who comes to me covered in yucky stuff. It's a 1 time thing. Cats don't need baths.
