Say you thought about writing a book. What would you title your book? What would it be about? Would you want other people to read it? Would you start the book and never finish it? Would you make the book up as you were typing it? Or would you want feed back on the first part of the book before writing any more of the book?

I'd love to write a book about love called 'a plethora of simplicity'
My favourite word is plethora, the many many diverse multitude,
and i love the jutaposition between that and simplicty, i think it sums love up quite well. It would be about love and faith and falling into the depth of the world and realising you are not alone.
How idealistic do i sound?

"Dock Lines" and it would be all about the stuff I learn and see at work. Working for a marina allows you to learn new things every day. Meet new people every day. And go home with a funny story all the time. Yes I would want others to read it. I would finish it. This book would be about real stuff so most wouldn't be made up. I'm sure some would be "emblished" but mostly true.
I'm working on a murder mystery love story right now. I can't tell you about it because of my contract with the publisher. But lets just say its gonna be GREAT!
Title: The Cabins Dark Night
Yes I would want others to read it.
I have to finish it! I already have an advance!
Parts are made up as I am typing. Parts come to me and I write it down then feed from that. Parts are real life stories used in the book.

I would like to write a book about myself and add a bunch of comedy. It wouldn't be a very long book, because I like those 100 to 150 page books that people can just zoom through in one day. But I would want it to be hilarious, but true.
I would like to do like Jack Kerouac did when he wrote "On The Road", just sit down with one gigantic sheet of paper and start typing. Of course, with computers today, you can basically do that. Just reading the introduction to that book was amazing.
I wouldn't want anyone to proof read it. I would just publish it, or at least send it to the editors.
What about you? What are your desires? Do you have a book in mind? Or, have you already started one?

I write many articles and I also read a lot, recently I have started writing a book which I have not decided the book title yet, it is about a serial killer, and I want to add something different to so that it does not resemble similar to other book.Maybe I will finish writing it this summer.

If I were to write a book it'd be about my band AcidRadio
the title'd be: AcidRadio - Each Hit, A Soul (hehe)
This is also the title of our album
It'd cover every little detail about the band since I've written most of it down in numerous journals the earliest dating back to May 1994
It'd have our ups and downs
some pictures
and a lot of other stuff which i hope will serve as lessons for upcoming bands so that they won't fall into the trap of being a "rockstar"
I hope they'll learn more what it takes to be a "Musician"
:D
nice topic!

I have written two books but they never got published
The first one was a fiction called 'Daydream Believer' the second I never actually finished because it was getting too hard for me to write - emotionally - as it was a partly biopic book written using love letters my dad had written to my mum - it was called 'For Pete's Sake' as they talked about getting married and having a boy called Peter.
Unfortunately I did both of these on a word processor and saved on floppy, when I moved a couple of years ago I lost both the floppies and the hard copy!!

I'm sorry to hear of such travisty. You could always start another book. But this time don't make it real. Write a fiction book, you know somthing made up to amuse the readers. This way it doesn't involve your feelings. And the best part is that you can write your heart out in imagination.
Thanks

I am not certain of the title yet. But I have started about four books and they are not done. I lose track if I dont keep writing. I have to do so many other things in a day. I have set the book writing aside for a bit and am focusing on writing poetry and short stories. Also reading many different types of books.

I've written and finished the first drafts of four books. Yes, I want other people to read them... but really the only people willing are my family and friends. I have started a few books and never finished them, but I consider those lost ideas now that weren't even worth pursuing in the first place. All my books are fiction, and only one is Realistic Fiction. One is science fiction, and the other two are high fantasy (a fantasy that takes place completely in its own world like Lord of the Rings).
Typically, I have a pretty good idea of where I'm going. I never ask for other people's input before the book has a finished draft, but I do ask after I have a completed manuscript.
