Well done with the stars! Personally, I haven't picked up any other writing jobs with my Helium stars, but now I have 5 stars, I am earning really good money from empty titles and titles with less than 5 articles.
It really does make a difference. I've been very busy with other things this month, and haven't had time to do so much writing, yet I'm set to earn almost as much for the 65 articles I did this month as I did for the 100 articles I did last month, due to increased page views (there are more articles up there, so more scope for page views) and having 5 stars instead of 4.

Thanks Sandra!
In that case I'd be more inspired to write better and write more at helium. Although I'm not sure if I can cash out.

Hi Sandra1952! This Helium place sounds like one could make some decent money. Do you have any suggestions on how to make some serious money there?
I'm not a member yet. I first heard of it from abitcurious.

Hello, 1hopefulman. If you are a good writer, you can make good money at Helium. I'd say join the site and take some time to get to know how it works. Before you can earn real money, you need to build up your writing score. Quality pays on Helium.

First I'd like to explain that the Marketplace is not a job. It's a forum for competing for freelance assignments that sometimes pay a substantial upfront for articles.
It is very easy to qualify for the Marketplace by having a good portfolio of diverse articles. Try to set a goal to write at least one article to every Helium channel. Before you say it (or anyone else chimes in) you really can write an aricle to every channel.
I just started in the legal channel with an article on where to find free legal forms. I am not a legal expert but I know where to find things, especially on the internet. There are a lot of "where to find" empty titles languishing in obscurity on Helium and empty titles pay a bonus.
Also in the legal channel are a bunch of "How to change your name in XYZ state." All it requires to do this is a little research. Chances are there is no existing article for your town so this is something you can do. Just do the article before you submit the title (I am sure your town won't be listed.)
There are a lot of empty titles for things like how to make Halloween costumes, where to recycle in xyz town, etc. Food articles do not pay upfront but they can help boost your writing score and increase your portfolio. Submit recipes for dishes that are unique to your region.
I have had two recent stock content sales: How to Devein Shrimp, and an article about First Aid supplies for Hurricane Season.
Keep writing!

It's good to spread it around where you can. Hobbies and games gets a lot of views.

Another writer gave me a tip about writing in the style and beauty and health channel. They seem to be the most viewed articles at Helium. Well, I tried it twice, and those articles are my most viewed articles.
I did try the Creative Writing Channel. If I want writing for fun, I definitely would post it there.

Wow, this is such awesome information, Canellita! Thanks so much for sharing these tips! I am still very new at Helium (I joined yesterday) so this is really helpful!

I think that always trying to write the best articles possible is what will help you. A lot of people will sacrifice quality to get more articles posted more quickly, but in the end, people read things one at a time. If you have poorly written material (even just a few), it will do more damage than you could possibly imagine. All you need is one bad article to turn a potential buyer off.
At Helium, it is possible to sell articles without even knowing it. Sometimes buyers come in and select something you've written for $5 each, and the money just magically appears in your account. I've had this happen a few times, as have other friends. There's nothing you can do to encourage this besides having well written articles.
The more material you have, the likelier the chance that someone who needs an article will find what they are looking for. Keep writing the best you can. It seems obvious, but it really pays!

Abitcurious usually if writers are banned on a writing site it is because of abuse. When you can't log in are you given a reason?

Wow! So far, everything is going nicely for me at Helium. Most of my articles are doing well so I can say it does pay dedicating time to make sure that the quality of the articles I submit.
I'm worried about cashing out though. Some days I can't even log-in. Some writers from our country said that they were able to cash out and some said they got banned. I don't know if they are limiting just certain writers.
Anyway. I'm doing my best. I just hope that I'd do well enough to have a bargaining chip in case Helium becomes too strict.

@ Canellita
Something about helium trying to support writers from other regions but not during the time of my failed log-in. It's quite confusing because I can log-in at other times.
