Are satisfied if you gain or fulfil your dreams in life? or crave for more?

I am lucky because I have already fulfilled many of my dreams. I wanted to buy a home and I bought a cottage when I was 19 years old. I wished to travel around the world. I did that when I was 20 to 21 years old. I wanted to have children and I managed that at age 22, 34 and 36 years old. I am happy to say I have a baby daughter, a toddler son and a teenage son. I dreamed about passing my practical driving test. I finally managed to do that when I was 37 years old. My toddler son is disabled and he is unable to walk. It is challenging living in a small house with stairs. I will hopefully be moving to a medium sized bungalow. That will be far easier for my son to get around. I used to think my dream home was a thatched cottage with a sea view or a beach house in a tropical location. My dream is now to live in a bungalow and that will happen soon I think. I still have dreams like getting a summer house, buying a camper van and traveling to plenty more lovely destinations. I am grateful for the things I have in my life. I still dream for a little more. The best things in life to have are good health, happiness and good luck. None of these things can be purchased. Money doesn't make a person happy but circumstances can.

I personally think that nobody is satisfied with what they achieved. Why is that? Well it's just human nature. We now live in an age called multitasking right? But truth be told we are not really that efficient in multitasking. The reason is we, more often than not actually emphasizes more time and attention towards one of the tasks or goals. Hence neglecting others to a certain extent. So when we achieve that one task or goal, we found out we are still not really performing in other aspects that's when we divert our attention and the whole process is repeated again. So if we continue with this process will there ever be an ending?? I doubt that.

I'm pretty happy with my life so far, but I still want to achieve more. I want to do more activism, especially around environmental disasters because of the BP spill. I want to publish a poetry collection with a real publisher and not my own self. I want to find a place to complete my PhD and actually finish my dissertation on the intersection of disability rights and global justice. The trick to being happy while not completing everything is to take time out to celebrate the small steps toward your goals.

Hi, friend. I think it's all about our pursuits in life. As individuals living in this world, we all have different dreams and pursuits. Some may become easily content with what they already have; while others may yearn for more. However, craving for more is not necessarily equal to greed. Money, love, knowledge etc. are all the things people desire. It all depends on their respective pursuits. For me, my childhood dream has already come true. Now, I have a well-paid job which suits my interests, but I'm not satisfied with what I have now. I'm still yearning for more. But it's not material pursuits. I'm craving for more knowledge to enrich my mind and soul.

We are human, "we dream..fulfill our dreams..and then dream again". I've fulfilled many of my dreams and I do crave for more dreams :) You never stop breathing or stop eating do you? Never stop dreaming and craving for more.

im still in my adult life, definitely i still crave for more.. i still want to travel around the world. well not really literally, that'd be very expensive.^_^ but i can say that ive achieved much for more than 20 years that ive been living my life here on earth.

People in general are never satisfied. We always crave for more after we reach a certain goal. Me, i believe i won't be satisfied as well. I'm currently on my way to a certain goal but when i get there, i feel i'll set another much higher goal.

I out there to achieve everything I can. Your only on this earth once so why not make the best of it.
