My first try to photography rate it

I think that is a lovely picture! It looks quite professional and excellent for a first attempt. Where is this picture taken?

This is actually a very good shot. It is not necessary to have a high end camera to get good pictures, however it does help to have one with a good zoom capability. I have had several pictures not come out too well because I couldn't get close enough to the object, and my camera didn't have enough zoom on it to bring the object to me. For this reason, I plan to get a better camera in the near future. As a note, The picture of the sunset that is on my profile is one that I took with a cheap digital camera. I was at a boat landing at a river near my house, and I took the picture sitting in my car. The sunset looked great, so I lowered the driver-side window and took this picture. So, taking good pictures is not really hard, and doesn't not require fancy equipment...you just have to look around you...good luck...
