Vathsala amma, everyone in this world one day or the other will get grey hair whether he/she likes it or not.Everybody has to age and, nobody remains young permanently....with the exception of MAHAVATAR BABAJI, who is 1807 years old and is still living in the Himalayas. He looks like a young man in the full bloom of youth and has been seen by hundreds of people, including me.Read about him in "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda. As for me, i am in my mid 60`s but have very few strands of grey and my hair is naturally black and i have never used any artificial blackeners till now and never will.I prefer Nature to take its own course.

hello vathsala,to see Babaji is to see God in human form.It is only a priviledged few who can see him, not neccessarily in his original form, since he can take any form or shape at will.Only those who have done great tapasya in past lives may get a chance to have his darshan. I had his darshan in another form but i recognized him.He may be standing next to you but you may not recognize him, only if he wills then you can do so. However there is a method to be in close contact with him and get his blessing. Every Monday night between 9 to 10 pm sit on an asana, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, remember your Kula Guru if you have one, remember your Ishtha Deva, and then repeat your favourite mantra in which you have been initiated or if not you can say the Gayatri or Om Namah Shivaya or any mantra of your choice.Do the japa with full concentration for say 5 minutes or more as you wish. Its not needed to sit the full hour.If you do this then Shiva Avatari Babaji will immediately bless you and you will feel it. Babaji has kept this period specially for his devotees and he connects with them instantly. If you call out his name longingly and with full devotion then, who knows one day you may see him.You can also repeat a mala of his mantra " Om Kriya Babaji Namah Om".I also ask you to read the book 'Babaji and the 18 Siddha Kriya Yoga Tradition" by Marshall Govindan. In this book you can read Babaji`s life story and also that of other Tamil saints.Babaji`s Guru is Rishi Agastyar.

Hi Neelima Great to see you online after a long time. Happy to note that you do not have grey hair and wish you should not even at the age of 100. You are correct. By applying dye the hairs will damage very quickly so also the eyesight.

I have the type of hair that turned gradually blonde, but I know there are some people with the skin color that makes them look older. If you have a pink or red undertone to your complexion, you can go grey or white naturally without any problem, but if you have a yellow or orange undertone, you may have to dye your hair until it is completely white. I read this in a beauty book once. I never worried about it,but I was annoyed as I always wanted to be blonde because when I was in the teens, it was the blondes who got the guys. Us brunettes and brownettes were at the back end of the row.

I love my color. It helps having grown up with brown hair with a slight auburn tinge and besides when I was two or three I did have blonde hair. I hated it when it turned dark. Besides people think I am younger and the only reason they know my age is because I got the senior citizen's pension.

Hi suspenseful After going through your response only i came to know about the various colours of the hairs. Before that i used to think there are only two colours black and grey. As you feel that you wanted to be blonde, go ahead as it looks nice. It is charming too

When Grey hair started for me I just left it as it is. My friend advised me to die the hair and suggested some brand. That brand caused irritation and I had hair loss in the front side of the hair line. I stopped dieing the hair. After few years, my beautician recommended some brand. She said this is costly but very effective. I got the die done by her. I even recommended it to my husband and he also got it done. Both of us had too much hair loss. Then I thought enough is enough and left my white hair to be natural.

Dyes are made from chemicals. Whether it is good quality or not, and chemicals too vary from brand to brand. Still chemicals will have its own side effect on the scalp so it irritates the skin and hairs start falling. I have seen many people who use dyes regularly and as the years pass by, their hair turned into copper red colour. It is better to avoid using dyes, which not only good to the hair, but also for the eyesight and you have taken the good decision not to use it any more

Hi yugasini garu The cost of the wig depends upon the quality and size of the wig. So very soon, may we see a young and energetic yugasini in mylot with new wig, covering the bald and grey hair?

In my family, it's hereditary to start getting grey hairs in our 20's. With that being said I saw my first grey hair at 21. I'm 27 and regularly dye my hair now to cover the patches of increasing grey. It's not all over grey yet, thank goodness. But I still feel too young to have so much of it. I thank my wonderful family for passing that on to me!

Hi Kedralynn yes grey hair occurs not only during the old age but some times it comes in the early age too as a heriditary. For some people it suits too. Some people use dye to cover it and some people will leave it as it is.

Right now mine occurs in weird patches on my head. So it's very uneven. When I get older and it even out, I won't mind so much. Heh my mom said she earned her grey hairs thru us stressing her out so she's allowed to let them show ;p

Hi vijayanths Stop worrying about your grey hair and start eating curry leaves daily in some form or other. You can even eat daily 4 or 5 raw leaves in the empty stomach in the morning to check the bp, good eye sight and to prevent grey hair and grow black hair. You can also use coconut oil heated with mehendi and curry leaves to become your grey hair, black. Good tips. Is not it?

I do have few grey hairs growing in my head but I don't get rid of it because if you do it will only grow too many. My sister just cut it short for me and after that it's no longer visible. Grey hair is a sign of age and maturity. It is also a sign that we are heading now to golden age. Sometimes it kinds of depressing but we have no choice. I don't worry about my grey hair just i used to be in the past. The reason is because I have so many problem already and I don't want to add another. I pretty much just accept it just like a normal occurrence that everybody will pass through.

Hi reckon You are very true. If we get rid of one grey hair, lots of them will occur very soon. When we are small children, our elders say that if we consume honey, we must wash the hands otherwise by mistake if we touch the head without washing the hands the hairs will become grey. I do not know whether it is true or they are telling like that only to make us wash our hands immediately after eating something

My fatherĀ“s side of the family has a lot of gray hair. When I was 40 my hair tirned an ugly yellowisg gray from day to night when I learned thaat my beloved father had a terminal illness. I could not cope with it all so I started dying my hair. Now, 20 years later, I still do. I accept wrikles, loss of vision, whatever. But I will dye my hair as long as I can.

Hi marguicha, how are you my friend? It is a very long time since we meet through discussions. In our household, we take curry leaves in the form of chutney, for seasoning and raw curry leaf mixed with salt and green pepper in butter milk and drink it to avoid grey hair and good vision. So in my parent's side we have less grey hair. At the age of 55 i do have hardly 3 or 4 grey hairs near the ears. We also prepare one hair oil and apply it on the scalp which acts as the natural dye and keeps the hair black and helps in growing hair in bald too
28 May 10
You can't stop your grey hairs from growing but you can do what I do and use a hair dye to cover them up if it really bothers you that much. I have seen some people with grey hair and it really suits them. I guess if you are unhappy with it you can change it, but greying hair is just part of the ageing process.

Hi Beautyfactor I totally agree with you. It is indeed a part and parcel of life in the old age. But I do not like to use any dye if at all i develop any grey hair in future and remain natural coz i will not give much importance to such things. Once we become old, only grey hair suits us very much instead of black.

Hello Bhuwanji I do agree that as we grow old, we are tend to get grey hair and that is natural but premature greying of hair also do exists and we can see so many youngsters with grey hair. May be that is heriditary or due to dificit of any vitamins, i do not know. Thanks for sharing your views.

When I was younger, the thought of grey scared me because most of my cousins has grey in their early 20s. My father had shown grey in his teenage years. So I thought I could have it earlier. Until I read a book about vitamin to avoid or minimize gray hair. Just take vitamin B5 and it did. I have no grey hair compared to most people at my age today. Grey hair is natural for us human when we get aged, that's oakey but when you are younger, it's disgusting.

Hi adeena In which vegetable is vitamin B5 available? please tell me so that i will also see that my children will not get grey hair in their younger age. I am now 55 years of age and still my hair is black. May be it is heriditary. Since we are pure vegetarians, kindly tell me if B5 is available in any vegetable or fruit.
