red star to blue star

Hi mylotters I found that there are many blus star holder (Level 10) on myLot. And I really admire their reaching there! Reason is simple I am not able to reach there. I have completed 3 moths on Mylot, But I could manage to reach 94 rating . In fact I am at 94 Rating for almost a month , I believe. The longer its taking me to reach to blue star, the more i admire those having it. What is your star rating? What is the rate at which it is progressing? Do you admire members with higher star rating than you? Share it just for fun, no competitive feeling .

Actually, it doesn't really mind what star you have, just for the eye. I like the red star a lot, almost more than the blue star, and definitely more than the 8 star, because that's what I was stuck with for a long time, and I didn't even like it's colour. I have to say that I like 9 and 10 more than the others. I don't know why, but I think that it might have something to do with the colour and the number itself. In school, we have grades from 4 to 10, so of course, 9 and 10 are the ones that make me happy. That's maybe one reason too, that I like to have a nine as my star, because it's good enough for me in school. I do admire member with a high star, maybe because of the reasons above, but they don't really tell anything. Someone could post really good quality posts, but still get rated - by a troll (see for older posts)... Anyway, we all are of the same value, even if our star would be 0. No one is above the other and no one is below someone else, but we are all of the same value. This said, the 9s and 10s are a bit higher than the others because people rate + their posts, but whatever...

Hi ramsexlll You are right there is always a story why we like some color or number. Yes i value all members irrespective of star but admire those with 10 Star the highest level to reach

@oldchem1: Thank you for your kind comment. I know that most people don't even notice it, but I do. People differ from each other, but it is good for you that your star rating doesn't matter for you because a bad rating could possibly demotivate you and that's not what we want. A good star rating motivates a lot of course, and I can see thar you have one @commom_man: Hi common_man, It's good to know that I'm right about something, but what is the story behind your favorite colours and numbers? Me too I value all myLot members as the same (unless they behave as jerks), but of course I admire the 10 star members a little bit more than the others. Also, the ones that are very nice to me, I like them more than the people who aren't nice to me (of course...)... Like you, I admire you because you are very friendly, nice, polite and because you have a rating of 9 (right now)

My Star is purple? I'm not certain I thought it was blue not long ago. I am really trying to understand all the information, but the FAQ is starting to leave me more confused then anything else. *sighs* I suppose as long as I'm posting and such its not to terribly important, but I am curious.

I actually just noticed I went from a 9 to a ten and got a blue star. Is this decided by mylotters, or mylot?

I reached my '10 star' status pretty early in life here and have managed to retain it although it did go down in between. It does feel good to see that number and I shall continue to participate the way I am participating now not really knowing how the rating is done !!

As I understand it, and I may be way off the track on this matter, there are several or maybe more, factors involved. The ratings that we get seems to make a big contribution to it. We ma have to watch the content of what we are going to post, especially if it follows the guidelines or strays a bit.
