Rudely awoken by a flying monster this morning, not happy.

With the warm weather slowly approaching in my country I left my bedroom window open for some fresh air last night.
This morning my much needed beauty sleep was disturbed by a loud buzzing sound.
What did I find ? The monster of all flying insects zipping around my room as if he/she owned it.
To say I was less than impressed would be an understatement.
I hate bee's with a passion, so that was the fastest I have every got out of bed, closed the door and have not returned.
Would the world not be a better place without bees ?

Oh, heavens, no! We need bees!!!
I am growing about a dozen fruit and nut trees, all kinds of berry bushes, kiwi and grape vines and annual vegetables. Without bees, I'd have to hand pollinate everything! Man, would that be a pain!!!
Farmers depend on bees. As a matter of fact, the honeybee population has dropped significantly and is quite a concern of farmers.
Now, those nasty killer bees can all die and I wouldn't be sad at all. I, along with some authorities, believe that the killer bees are harming the honeybee population. As far as I know, those killer bees have no good reason for being alive. We're very lucky here, so far, because the killer bees haven't migrated this far... yet. They're far south of here.
I'm lucky in that I have a neighbor who raises bees... honeybees. I don't have a problem with my things getting pollinated. Those wasps and hornets, though, they can go live somewhere else. They seem to live in a constant state of "pissoffedness" and will sting with very little provocation. I wouldn't be sad to see them disappear, either.
My oldest son has a full-blown phobia about bees. If we're outside and one comes anywhere near us, he'll fly into the house. I have no idea why he feels this strongly about them; as far as I know, he was never stung as a child, although he did have an incident where he sat on an anthill and was bitten maybe a dozen times. I don't see him reacting to ants like he does to bees. I don't get it.
Me? All I know is that bees are deaf. That tells me that yelling at them to go away won't help. You need to use sign language.

I guess I get along with them so well because we have an understanding. I provide them with pretty flowers and they leave me alone.
I don't like them buzzing around me but I don't normally run from them when I'm outside. I LOVE being outside, either fishing or working in my garden. Sometimes the bees get a bit too close for comfort and I will move then but, normally, they don't want me and leave me alone.
Of course, if one was in my bedroom while I was in bed, my reaction would be very much like yours. I wouldn't want to give the bee the opportunity to sneak up on me while I was sleeping and possibly sting me.
I was once stung on my hand while taking laundry down from the clothesline. I yelled, "Ouch!", then looked closely at my hand. (The stinger was still in it and was pulsating.) My mother asked what was wrong and, when I told her I was just stung by a bee, she FREAKED! She yelled at me to come inside and she grabbed the baking soda to make a paste while I slowly walked in the house, still looking at my hand. Sure, it hurt but it wasn't THAT bad.

Well there is no trees or flowers or even a honeypot in my room, so I guess I have the right to be annoyed.
It was trespassing, wind can and does spread pollen from plant to plant. I would rather the wind at my window than a bee.
All Gods creatures have the right to live, but just not in my room when I'm sleeping
Have a fun day.

no haddowz the farmers use bees to cross pollinate their crops so
without the honeybee our food would cost a lot more and there would
be no honey. one little bee is hardly any reason to do away with all'the honey bees. they are much needed as a lot of fruit orchards would not beat fruit without the cross pollination of the honey bee.

Yes, I agree, bees are important but wasps are pointless, nasty and horrible. Flies too. Bleurgh.

Only if you hate flowers and fruits and so on...
Still, I can do without the stingers.

Hi, HADDOWZ. I don't like mosquitoes of any kind at all. They are so nasty! That is one of the reasons why I don't keep my window opened during the summer time. This is a good way for the bugs to enter into my home. The last thing that I want to be stuck with is, trying to get rid of all of the creatures! I am glad that you did not get stung by this bee! Take care!

I know that the earth needs bee's and all, but I'm not the biggest fan of getting stung by one, and as long as they stay far away from me I'm fine, and if I had been awakened by a buzzing bee I would have flipped out because I cant stand bugs near me especially bees, roaches, spiders, and wasps.

Bees have an important role in the environment. You may fine them as a monster, but it'is us that are real monster. We kill them everytime they annoy us. Bees travel from flower to flower to harvest honey. By doing this, they are helping those plants to propagate. So how come they are monsters.
