Is that a fair wish of the parents to have a boy instead of a girl?

why many people wish a boy while a girl also is so aggressive towards any angle of the life? That is the past when women were following the men and now i think both are equal. What do you think?

I have a co-worker that wishes that she could have a little girl. I do not think that people wish to birth a certain gender because they think that gender is superior to the other, but because it is a gender that they feel, in their heart, would be best suited for them. It also does not mean that they will love their child any less if they wanted a boy and got a girl instead.

Hi valenas,
Thanks for sharing your idea and experience.I agree with you but a little bit.I have read and heard and seen these things many times and hence started a discussion here to get international views.Personally,i don't feel any difference in having a child of any gender.Nice time.

hi mtvmtv,
now a days people are still wish to have a boy instead of girl, the boy means he is looking family,if the girl means she will go after marriage, for that purpose people wish boys instead of girl, but we have to accept who may be our children either boy or girl, now both are equal and fast, have a nice day

I think those parents should be thankful, regardless of their child gender. Children are blessing and not all are as lucky as them. My cousin has been married for almost two years and she still childless. She always tell me how she wants one. The same goes for a friend of mine and she's been married for around 4 years.
Of course man and woman are equal now and gender is not really an issue anymore (though I must say some people still believe in such things) but that's all a thing in the past.
