Love Marraige or Arrange Marriage ?

I think there can be different reasons and circumstances. No body can take guarantee whether an arrange or love marriage will be successful. Now what matters is the family. Many families accepts the love marriages due to the wish of their children. And there is nothing wrong if every body is happy.

Well I guess it depends where you live and what your customs are. I had no option as we have no arranged marriage in our culture. I fell in love but that means that my relationship is at my own mercy and not at that of my family. In an arranged marriage there would be less chance of divorce because it would disgrace the family, but there may be no love or passion, and I think that love and passion are the basis of a happy family. So I guess in answer to your question, I prefer to marry for love, knowing that the man I am with is with me because he WANTS to be and not because he HAS to be.

I grew up in a country where there are very few arranged marriages, and it is hard for me to compare the two things, because I don't know much about arranged marriages. My parents have never tried to find a husband for me, they have always said to me that I had to find a husband on my own, and that it was up to me to find out who I loved and who I wanted to spend my life with. Some of the foreigners in my country prefer arranged marriages, but I have never really considered that option myself, because every single marriage in my family or among my friends has been a love marriage.

right now, i prefer having arrange marriage since i know i wouldn't get the guy i like. but if ever there's this one guy i'll fall in love with, then i might change my mind and go with love marriage. I prefer arrange marriage because i'm sure that my husband would be rich. :D
