Christmas is just around the corner, AGAIN, great.

Santa Claus, Christmas - Christmas time, when Santa gives all the good little boys and girls presents. December 25th. Happens every year. White beard, red suit, drives a sled pulled by reindeer, lead by Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. Tinsel on the christmas tree.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, blah blah blah.. My mate just asked if I had started planning for Christmas, (soon to be an ex-mate I think) Who plans 7 months ahead for Xmas, they must have better things to plan for. I cant be the only humbug in myLot, surely..

I think it's just too early to be thinking about Christmas. But maybe when I see something good like when it suits a friend or a family member, then I can buy that for him/her for Christmas or birthday, whichever comes first.

Did you have to remind us? Heh heh. Well, I bargain shop, so I hunt for bargain gifts all year long so I don't have to wait in crowds and spend a lot of money just before Christmas. So by the time Christmas hits, I can actually enjoy the holiday and not get so stressed out. Last November my son was born - and now he's half a year already - so I know how fast time is going. You're not kidding that Christmas is just around the corner!!

You're too funny! Well hey, it's getting warm out here, so if thinking of Christmas makes it any cooler - then heck, I'll start thinking about Christmas now. I guess you can say MAY-ry Christmas (although it's really close to June - then what can we say?!). Ho Ho Ho!

I start early, but that is because I make homemade gifts. I buy my supplies in July and start in August. If I am buying store bought gifts I wait until the week before Thanksgiving to start shopping. Lately, with the bad economy I have made a list of gifts I want to buy for others, but I have not started anything yet.

It's a good idea to make your own gifts, it certainly saves money and I believe it is more of a personal gift which is far nicer. Your right, the economy is terrible right now and I think alot of people will be tightening there belts this year at christmas, but everyone is in the same boat so there is nothing wrong with that at all. We have had it good for a long time now, when the going gets bad evryone has to make cutbacks, everyone understands that. Take care and have a smashing day, always..

Chrsitmas shopping, it isn't even June yet!!! The year my daughter n law was pregnant for their 2nd boy she not only had HIS presents bought but she had them all wraped and his name on them!!!!! In July she had a baby GIRL!!!! Once I bought presents all year long, I forgot where I put them! Also forgot who I had bought for so for some I had to many and for some I didn't have any!!! I can wait until after Thanksgiving to Christmas shop!!!! Don't give the stores any ideas they will be putting up Christmas decorations before July 4th!!! One year I went Christmas shopping on Christmas EVE, for everything!!!! (I had been in a car wreck that Sept and couldn't move around very well so the last thing I wanted to do was shop. I really wasn't caring if I got presents for anyone or not!!!!) Oh and to the person who will have 10 grandchildren, I have been there for 3 years!!!

I LOVE Christmas! I just hate all the importance of commercialisim that is put onto it, the buy this and this! The gotta have this and did you get something for some one! Right now for as hot as it is I think I would welcome the 'coolness' of Christmas. One year our theme at Vacation Bible School was Christmas and we had a decorated Christmas tree and was putting presents under it for a mission project. I love doing the Christmas program at church with the kids. I love all of our family get to gethers. I just hate the ... give me ... buy buy buy.... attitudes!

In this increasingly secular society, such as the UK, Christmas has a diminishing meaning. Supermarkets now open on Christmas day and several banks offer services. I do not attend church myself and therefore I simply enjoy a brief respite from work, nothing more nor less. It is now almost endemic in our society that nothing can ever close, but I am a supporter of the weekend and holidays - Christmas is usually nice even for us non-believers! It has got way to commercial

Hi Haddowz, I don't really plan this far ahead for Christmas but I did pick up 5 Woo games to pit towrds Christmas for my son the other day as they were a bargain. I spent £25 and 5 brand new games worth over £130. Too good to be missed but it is usually for me the last month as I am always waiting on my daughters list as to what they would like, which is usually early December. Huggles. Ellie :D

Do your children not send their wish lists to the North Pole, Lapland, where Santa lives. How else do the little elfs know what to delivery down the chimmney to your good little children.

My hubby was telling me that his mom use to buy christmas presents all year long to be prepared for the season. I think it's actually smart to do because every year I am broke after christmas from spending so much. It's called preparation, and I need more of that quality in me. Take care

My sister-in-law Gena has no doubt hit all the post Christmas sales from 2009 and completed the majority of her 2010 shopping already. I myself plan to be done sometime around December 24th.

I have started alot of my christmas shopping as at the moment i have the money to get a few bits as when christmas gets here i want to be able to sit back and relax rather than doing things in a rush.If i see something that i think someone would like i tend to buy it mainly if it is cheaper as this way it saves money.

Hi Haddawz, I am starting to collect items for gifts this coming christmas. it's always good to little by little pick up some for your family and friends. i have a place where to keep them and not be seen by anyone of them as it will destroy the element of surprise.

I love Christmas. I mean, it's not just because love gifts. I love the mood. Everyone seems to be happier and more cheerful. The lights make everything look enchanting. The Christmas music puts me in a good mood too and Christmas trees...they smell so good. (: And I can't forget the food. I do love food.

Advance Merry Christmas to you Haddows. Time is flying, we are half of the year now! However, i do not have some plans. For me it is too early to plan for Christmas. I will start planning for it when September comes. Some are excited for Christmas but for me it is just a plain old day and I guess there is nothing new happening to me despite being busy.

Well it does come quick and if you have a list you want to buy for this is the time of year to get deals. I know I try to begin shopping the day after christmas for I have birthdays and a never ending cycle of needing gifts. I buy if I have money items and put them up for birthdays and christmas on a regular basis. I call it planning and saving for I live on a fixed income until I can land a perfect job like that is going to happen in this economy. Who knows maybe I'll hit the lottery. Got to play first. Maybe he is thinking of getting you this really expensive gift and wants to have time to get it or save for something you really want like a new car or a ring or could be just he is wanting to know what you might be getting him. Or if you have a huge list helping eliminate to get things done and in time before you know it it is here things and rushing to get gifts. I think best gifts are ones people make myself for it is from the heart and loving.

Funny you should bring this up! I was just telling my husband we need to think about what we'll be getting our 5 y/o daughter for Xmas 2010! I like to hit up the Christmas in July sales too... lots of fun holiday stuff to get those places. I don't think it's ever too early... baking products can go on sale... awesome gifts are cheaper when the summer doldrums hit...Christmas lights at Yard Sales... FUN! Fun! Fun!
