I just checked out the expert authors in Ezinearticles.
Guess how many articles those writers produce:
Sean R Mize 23,729 Articles
Lance Winslow 20,275 Articles
Tina L. Jones 7,612 Articles
Abhishek Agarwal 7,039 Articles
Fabian Tan 6,047 Articles
Hector Milla 5,620 Articles
Jason Nyback 4,576 Articles
Adam Woodham 4,549 Articles
Michael Russell 4,411 Articles
Rahul Talwar 4,228 Articles
Joseph Devine 3,842 Articles
Peter Gitundu 3,621 Articles
Victor Epand 3,311 Articles
Derek Rake 3,273 Articles
Simon Haughtone 2,908 Articles
Connor R Sullivan 2,810 Articles
Kal Bishop 2,665 Articles
Mike Selvon 2,580 Articles
A Aaronson 2,509 Articles
The 100th writer has 1,320 articles.
Can you imagine writing so many articles and submit to Ezinearticles? Given that Ezinearticles is a free article directory, and does not pay a single cent to the writers, you may wonder why anyone wants to submit so many articles there.

Almost 24,000 articles is impressive! I'm wondering is he is using any of the article churners to develop that many articles.
I believe Ezine articles have been around for much longer than writing sites that pay. Many people like to use Ezine to get backlinks to their websites or just to create a profile for their writing.
I would love to write that many articles. Let me do some calculations based on my earnings from writing. I could potentially be earning $10,600 per month passively!!!

hi scheng1,
I was looking at my earnings - $45 per month for 100 articles... So, 23,729 articles? Ouh, you know the math... It's just an average.
At the rate I'm producing (or NOT producing), I will never get there! See? I'm still here at mylot and you know what it means... I'm procrastinating, yet again! Complacent! Shish!
If he outsource the articles, I can see how he got so many. I can't imagine someone producing all 24,000 articles without help. But, I may be wrong...
I know it seems sinful to give away the articles for free when we are getting paid for ours, isn't it?

haha Sydney, at the rate that you are producing articles, I doubt you have any article to give away for free!
If you can write 23,729 articles, at least you have some articles for Ezinearticles to get backlinks to your website.
Since you are spending all the time here, and not even reaching 23,729 posts, I guess your ancestors eat too much tortoise, so you get some of the traits from the tortoise!
Maybe you can start to eat more rabbit meat now! At least you can write articles at a faster pace.

Hi SydneyHazelton, how do you come out with the figure of $10,600 per month?
I think at the rate you are producing articles, it will take forever to reach 24,000 articles.
I read some of his articles. They are good articles. After all, he's a trainer or something, and nobody will trust him if he use those article spinners.
That is why I think he outsources the writing. I cannot see how anyone can produce nearly 24,000 articles and given them away for free.

Wow. I am sure I will not be able to write that much articles. But, if I am given like maybe a couple of year it would be possible. But then, I would run out of words by then. Now, those are super super many articles written by one guy.

haha Jacobus1919, if you keep up with the rate of writing 20 articles a day, I think you will soon develop a method of automatic writing.
Maybe your brain starts to shut down the minute you start to write, so that every article is produced mechanically.
With the right techniques of writing and rewriting, and using different keywords, it is possible to produce 20 to 30 articles per day. However, the quality is not great.
More like Ezinearticles kind of quality.

Well, I used to write for some local company and I did try writing 20 articles in one day. That was such a brain draining thing to do. But, luckily I pulled through.

Hi Yugasini, I know that most of them are writing articles to promote their products and services, and some are just getting backlinks to their websites.
Even then I cannot understand why anyone wants to post so many articles to Ezinearticles.
I doubt anyone can even write 1,000 easily, much less to write 23,000 articles and given them freely away.

It's pretty amazing that someone could write that many articles but I guess if they've been writing for many years it could be done. I have a few articles on the Ezinearticles site and I use them to drive traffic to my website but I know I'll never get anywhere near those numbers. I do most of my writing for sites that pay but even then, I'm just not that prolific. I'll consider it quite an accomplishment if I can reach the 1000 article mark.

Hi Millertime, I have just a few articles in Ezinearticles, not even enough to upgrade from Basic plus.
I dont think I can write so many articles for submission to Ezinearticles as well, since I rather post the content in my own blogs.
I think that writer hires many ghostwriters to write the content, since he is a trainer or something.

These people actually got the help from all over the world! They have "subcontractors." I have actually written for ezinearticles for about a few cents. I am not sure though if they were just using the name of the site. But it says there that the article will be submitted to ezine. The work I did was approved & I got paid.

Hi Shinxna, that's what I thought too.
The current rate is one cent per word. And Ezinearticles does not require good command of English, even those articles full of grammar mistakes are accepted.
That is why those who can write 20 articles a day can make good money as ghostwriters.
Most of them read the articles in Ezinearticles, get the main points and rewrite in their own words. That is how they make money.

Hi, friend. The only long article I wrote was my master's thesis which covered around 32,000 words. It took me several months to do some prior research and three months to complete. Apart from thesis, I think many people love writing long novels which may exceed 30,000 words easily.

Hi Chenxiaoyue, I think you can complete 32,000 words within an hour if you are complaining about someone!
Most people do not have problems scolding and cursing their bad, wicked boss. I think if we put all the thoughts and words into written words, we will get more than 32,000 words content.
I doubt anyone can complete thesis within a week or a month. The research itself takes more than that. The writing is the easiest part of it, the research is killing.

What is the average length of each arrticle?
The writers youlisted down could have various reasons for writing the articles.
1) They are passionate about writing.
2) They want to share their knowledge.
3) They want to build a reputation.
4) They use an article spinner software.
On average I can write 6 400 word articles in a day if I have nothing else to do. Therefore in theory I have no chance of catching up with the leaders. The use of copay and paste or an article spinner can help a writer produce at least two articles per hour.

Hi Rosdimy, I have checked out some of the articles, those are rather high quality articles.
That particular writer is a trainer, and I guess he does not write all the articles. Most prolific writers in Ezinarticles are either ghostwriters themselves, or they hire ghostwriters.
The motivation is definitely to promote their products and services, and getting backlinks to their websites. I think the money earned from selling their products and services more than covered the cost of hiring ghostwriters.
I cannot imagine writing so many articles, and posting them in Ezinearticles for free. I still prefer to earn directly from the articles.

Hi Velentina, those who use Ezinearticles are definitely money-minded.
They want to sell their products and services, so they write articles and put the link to their websites in the author's resource box.
Even then to submit more than 23,000 articles is really too much. I think the writer might even pay ghostwriters to write some articles. I cannot imagine how anyone can produce so many articles.

This is possible because many listed persons here already done it.
I meant if i am enough capable to handle and write nearly 10 articles, i would take 10 years mostly to complete the task. But this is a big time. So i have to change my career. And this is not an easy task to change the career.

For the writer to hit 23000 articles he has to write nearly 30 articles a day for 2.5 years. Only someone with a fever will do that. They are beyond what's normal and must be lucky to have much time to mass produce articles. It's impossible to say they hate writing because of the amount they can write.

Hi Cowboyofhell, I dont think he writes all the articles, since he is a trainer by profession.
I think he hires many ghostwriters to write the bulk of the content.
With the economic situation now, there is no lack of ghostwriters who are willing to write articles for the price of 1 cent per word.
I doubt I can reach 23,000 articles even if I write every day for the next ten years. It is too big a number to contemplate.

Wow that's too much. I don't think I can write that many. I think those people just love to write so it really doesn't matter if they are paid or not. Their passion is writing and they're happy as long as they are able to do what they want to do.

It doesn't make much sense to me. I thought maybe I would get some feedback or attention, but nothing like that happened. EzineArticles did send me a coffee mug and coffee after I submitted 10 articles, but I kept wondering what was the point? How do I make this work for me? Once I figure that one out, I will return there because I do like the site a lot and find their style good and engaging.
How about you? Are you still posting there?

Yes, I think the owner of EzineArticles must be rich! I looked it up on the Internet in terms of popularity (sites visited), and it was near the top! Certainly way ahead of Associated Content, Helium, or any of the other writing sites.

Yes, after we do the other 1.001 tasks (like RedGage and Twitter and RSS and all the rest). I think this might be a good site for your blog postings, however. Check with our resident expert, Scheng, and see what she thinks of this suggestion.

I would feel lucky to produce 100 articles in one month! I think it is realistic to be able to produce between 21 and 35 articles per week if you have the time available to do so but many people are only able to pursue writing part-time.
There is also the matter of burnout when pushing yourself too much. You are probably right about where the articles have come from.
I wonder what the advantages are of using Ezine that you see for someone who does not have any products to promote. Then again, suppose I were to summarize a paragraph from three different articles on the same topic such as education. Couldn't I then post those summaries together as one article with links to the full content for each paragraph? Would it be worth the time?

Hi Canellita, Ezinearticles have strict guidelines about the number and placement of the links.
Since the minimum wordcount is only 250 words, I think you can summarize each and every article, and place the link in the resource box.
You may even use the trick of rewriting the same content using different keywords. That is how those writers can generate ten to twenty articles with just a few main points.
If there is at least one download of your content in other websites, you benefit from one more incoming links, and more traffic from other websites.
Some of us use Ezinearticles to get traffic. Most people use Ezinearticles to get backlinks.

Hi Adhyz82, Ezinearticles does not pay a single cent.
There is no such thing as minimum payout, since it does not even pay.
Those writers do not expect payment when they submit articles. It does not matter whether you submit 10 articles or 1000 articles or 200000 articles, no payment means no payment.
The main reason for submitting articles is to get traffic to their websites. Ezinearticles have a large readerbase, so the writers do not have any problem getting traffic to their websites.
Most websites promote products and services, and the webmasters gain from the sales of the products and services.
If you are thinking of payment for articles, dont even need to consider any article directory.

Wow, those are some impressive amounts indeed! I am sure it can be done, but it must take years!
Anyway, it is a good question indeed why someone would do it for free. Beats me!
