We all like to watch movies in our spare time well I know I do anyway, when you got to the movie store co you find yourself renting or buying more movies? I used to buy them all the time when the economy was better but now that I don't make very much anymore I like to rent them that way after I watch them I will know if I really want to buy it or not, But when you buy movies do you ever think why do we collect and keep them? And how many times do you watch them over and over?

Hi jahernandezrivas We have a wonderful membership with a video company and they mail them to us and then we send them back. However, there are times when we will buy a video. We do watch movies a lot. Snow

I like to rent more than buy. I think buying costs a lot for me. We tend to borrow movies from other people too. I mean think about a movie costs around 20$ for that price I can see a few movies and still have some money left over. So i prefer to rent. We have been using what is called the Redbox. It costs one dollar to rent a movie for one day. I think it is a great deal. Check it out online if you get the chance.

I far prefer to rent, because I only ever really watch musicals more than once. I like watching many different movies, so unless I absolutely love a movie I'll just continue to rent. Because I have a viaual impairment I get a big discount at my local library which works out really well because I can rent movies whenever I want and its not too expensive. We just get a pizza or something and have a nice night in. I've never really wanted to collect them.

That's cool and the Pizza sounds good with a movie I am tired of eating popcorn like with every movie we see!!

I'm an avid Netflix user, watching a streaming movie on there now in fact! I used to buy a ton of DVDs but I find it so much easier to rent things now and save the space - those little plastic boxes were taking over as my husband is a HUGE movie buff.

in the philippines, movies are not anymore a renting thing, buying is more preferred by people. you know, even though it is prohibited to copy movies as there is existing law protecting the film makers, piracy is rampant. you can buy from anywhere, at the sidewalk, market place and even at malls. so movie stores or rent shops are not earning like they used to.

I prefer to rent movies because I rarely watch a film twice unless it is a real classic or a special movie. I have rented and copied the movie if I had the inclination to want to keep it but more times than not I just rent it, watch and return it! The only DVDs I have bought was a Gilmore Girls box set because I really loved that show and it was a special gift to myself, but that one may not count because it is not actually a movie!

As far as I am concerned, I think I think I prefer to rent the movies at the first time . Just for it is a little cheaper foor me to rent the movies and can help me save a lot of money to do other things. Buy with the time goes by, I think it will be better for me to buy some value movies ,then I can watch them once more. In the end, I think I can store them as I like.

I prefer to rent and If I really love the movie I will just make a copy or record it for my own copy. When buy its just a waste if you loss your interest watching it, it will just keep and no use at all. Rent is just economical. Good day!

That is a very good point that you make here... I have stacks of DVD's that I have bought over the years, and whilst we do sometimes sit and watch one that is sat there on the shelf, it is not a regular thing. These days I would rather rent a movie, and then decide that if it was one that I would like to watch over and over then perhaps I would buy it. They can be very expensive these days to buy, and I am someone who does not always have the time to watch a movie, I would find it cheaper to rent, and better for me in the long run... also I have satelite TV, and on there I have so many movies to choose from, whether they be old ones, or ones that I have not watched before, so generally if I was to watch a movie I would probably sit and watch one on the TV, unless it was a new release of course

Just download them on the internet and watch them with computer if you don't care the size of screen. No economy problem will be cause through this way.

Most of the time I prefer to rent movies instead of buying them. There are a lot of movies that I don't want to watch more than once, so I prefer to rent them at first. If I find a movie that I really like I sometimes buy it, so that I can watch it again when I want to. I also like to borrow movies at the library, it is free, but it is hard to get the popular movies. When my ex-boyfriend and I were living together we bought quite a lot of movies, but we didn't like all of them and it was often a waste of money.

im not really into watching movies a lot.. so i would neither rent or buy.. if i want to watch a movie, id hope to catch it in cinemas.. if not, probably just wait for it on tv.. lol..
