Anyone know how to use SMF?

I created a SMF (simple machines forum) for a civic association in my area, everything works good except the wrong time is displayed. If there are any SMF admins out there, how do I change the time? It's 4 hours too late, 8am here but it says 4am in the forum. I have been through the Admin area many times but cant see where to change the time.
