I dont understand why some people have to be rude when someone asks for help. You could easily reply and give nice worded advice without an attitude or if you aren't capable of doing that you could always not respond at all. People only ask for help when they struggle to find the answer on their own. I personally like to succeed on my own without anyone else's help so when I am asking for help you should know that it is sincere and legit.

Very true,i also wonder why some people can't just say "sorry,i can't help you" or "asks other people",instead of saying bad words or even insulting someone.
Asking for help is a common behavior when someone is not sure of what to do,or doesn't have any idea with new things.
I wonder if those kind of people never asks help from others their entire life.

If you are online, some things sound rude that are not meant that way. In person, in public, I would generally attribute rudeness to someone having a bad day. Actually that applies here as well. I sometimes just skip answering if I really want to say something hateful. You will get to know us here at MyLot and will take our attitudes in stride. I will say that if I feel like I have ever been harsh I will come back and apologize.

I also understand that too. I just try really hard to be nice to people and I just wish that others would read over the things that they say and see if it sounds like they could be comming across as rude in any way. I also like how you are not ashamed to apologize to someone if you felt you have been to harsh with them.

hi tickle,
Yup. I've met few people like that and it affects my day really bad. I mean, the least thing I want to deal with is a mindless, rude and selfish person. Although, most of the time I met them personally...LOL. Like the other day, my sister and I went to a mall in Ortigas, Pasig City, Philippines for a tech fair. We asked the information center where it was located and the front desk personnel replied as if she was irritated and pissed telling us there is no such fair on that day and she wasn't informed about it. I was a bit surprised on her reaction I thought maybe she was having a bad day. So my sister and I asked anybody who may know that said fair but, no one could tell us. Until we asked her again after an hour of searching for the event and she finally said that it was on the other side of the building. Grrr.. I totally hated her and the fact that she suppose to know that since she was in the information desk.. geez..

I had my moments in here same as you but as time goes by...things worked fairly smooth and have met good people along the way. If you have some questions you may search it in on our search tab for quick information and it is best to read T.O.S. and guidelines. Or ask anyone like me! LOL.. Happy Lotting!

I'm sorry to hear about your mall experience, I could see how that would be upseting. I guess she couldnt have just asked someone if they knew anything about a tech fair, huh! Thanks for welcoming me to the site I gotta say I wish there were a few more kinder people like you though. I don't ask ?'s around here though I was informed it is a big big no no, so I'm trying to be a good little my lot girl from now on, lol.

Yes I have wondered to why some people are like that, then you have many that ask for your opinion, or they ask for your help, you help then have to wonder if it helped any because they never responded back to all of there comments. That royally ticks me off, when I see people ask something then never leave comments for there responders. How are we suppose to know if we helped or not? Oh well I guess to each there own. At least we are getting paid for our comments.

I do try to help others, but I also feel that if new users would take the time to read the guidelines and faqs, then they would know what they can and can't do in here. I don't think that is being rude to tell them that what they are asking has been asked and answered many times as it is in the guidelines and faqs. We wouldn't have to help so much if users would help themselves by reading what mylot has posted ont he website for us. It would really help if they did read so that so man many discussions wouldn't be deleted because of violations. Now, if you feel I am being rude that wasn't my intention, as I am just pointing out some things that users can do for themselves. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

when i was new i also have the same feeling, in here you will learn the different faces of people and in here you will learn to understand that not all people are the same and we cant tell them what we really want as they have their own mind and thought. when i was new here i used to post one liner post and ask more about mylot, i received a lot of reply that i thought it was rude and theres one person whose kind enough to message me privately what to do here. first, i read everything about mylot, all those info that can be found at the lower part of mylot page, those what we called footnotes to make sure i know everything, so the next time i know what to ask and what is not. and now that im here for quite long now, i understand why they reacted that way. anyway, theres still much more you need to know, but for you to stay long here in mylot, just take everything normally and dont take it personally since they dont know you anyway, just ignore and leave that part and go on with another post and smile. mylot will make your day smile and not to give your blood pressure high.
