Can someone be addicted to sale shopping?

I love to shop clearance. I also love to shop using coupons. I save alot of money when I shop. Most times I save more than I spend. My best friend says I have a problem. She says I will never be able to use all the things I buy but gets mad when I give stuff away. Do you think I have a problem and if so what can I do about it? Or do you think I am doing something good?

I don't really like sales, as things are still really expensive in my opinion. Such as the Macy's Memorial Day sale I visited this morning - well, considering how expensive things are FULL price, even 50% off is still quite a big chunk of change for a shirt, or a pair of pants, or what have you. I'm really picky about the clothes I wear, but I just don't make enough money to shop anywhere BUT from clearance racks. My idea of high-end is Nordstrom Rack, and even THAT is pushing it! I usually head straight to the clearance sections of stores - especially more expensive ones. So I am a clearance junkie, YES! It's the way to go, I'm tellin' ya!

I don't even go to the mall, not only becuase it's in another county but also because most of the stuff there is expensive. Okay I do go there, but never to shop for that much. Last time we went was when we went to get Christmas Ornaments actually, lol.

I agree and for the most part I only buy stuff that I know I will eventually use. If I have way too many I give it away to family and friends or charity. My family loves when I say I'm going shopping. Sometimes they even give me money and tell me to pick up a few things for them!

I understand this one all too well! I'm trying not to buy things I don't need even if they are an awsome deal. I end up with stuff that's forgotten about ect. And since I usually don't pay cash when I'm on these splurges I get a bigger and more expensive credit card bill *sigh* I've been doing better since on of my fav places changed their clearance program & I don't find stuff for 90% off anymore.

This is the way I feel about it : If you are saving more then you are actually spending then you are not wasting your money. If you are giving some of the things away that you never plan to use, then that is a good thing. In my opinion, you're doing good, your alleviating a want to shop, but you're not letting your money nor the things you purchase go to waste.
Everyone has an addiction, but I'd have to say that this is probably the safest addiction yet, you're actually not spending too much and your having fun, you're also sharing what you buy, which is good.
Some people are shopaholics, but spend way too much and don't share any of what they do have.
