We see all those sites wherein you can make a wishlist, and I know it's all and well that you can email the wishlists to friends and family or print them out or whatnot, but what about a secret santa wishlist site? Something wherein a person can upload a wishlist of wishlists of their's and others (complete strangers) buy them the gifts. Something secure wherein the only people who have your address is the Wishlist Upload website. I'm not sure how it would work, I suppose that the gift could be sent to the WishList upload's warehouse C/O the recepient, and then the wishlist site could forward the package on to the recepient. There'd have to be a membership cost though, hmm maybe $20.00 a month? Would that be fair?
So what do you guys think? Would you upload your wishlist onto this site? Think of the possibilities, you could get a gift every month from someone knew. Would a company like this last?
Would you give, or would just receive?

Sad but true, I think that would be the ultimate motive for some people. Good idea, but it'd have to be heavily secured.

Yes I know!
That wasn't quite what I was asking for. I was imagining a site wherein people can upload a wishlist from any site, and people from all over the world, complete strangers if you will, could gift the person securely of course, with what they want.
As far as I understand sites like amazon only allow you to send the wishlist to people you know.

hmm I know I can offer my amazon.com wish list link to anyone I want to, but I know what you mean, there are such sites. I forget the name of one I knew of, but see even with Amazon, one should use a special mailing address, such as mail box place.

You can have a wish list online. There is also a free site called thethingsiwant where you can add items from any place online that you want.

But you can upload a wishlist and people across the globe, who don't know you, gift you with what you want in a secure manner? That's what I was talking about.

Could my first wish on my wishlist be a site like this?
Sadly, I don't think a site like this will exist long enough for it to self-sustain, if there ever was a site. It's not that I am pessimistic, it's just that I couldn't think of how the logistics of this site could exist. Even with the $20 membership fee.
The closest I could think of this kind of wishlist is prayer. And sometimes they get heard. And that other people make the effort to make your wish come true.

Yes I know there are so many good sites that have wishlisting capabilities, but I was thinking more along the lines of a site where someone can upload their wishlists and people can gift them what they want, from around the world, regardless of whether they know them or not, secured of course.

I am very glad to hear that you received that money. I have heard of the site that you have mentioned. That is not quite what I am talking about, I am not talking about a site to earn off of so much as I am talking about a site to which you can submit wishlists and receive gifts as well as give gifts to people around the world, secretly and from the goodness of your heart.
